Val, you might have noticed the club has gone backwards over the last 18 months.

Where did you finish last season? You weakened this season, and are 9th. Sounds about par for the course.

Player wise, we're much better than Newcastle. Is that simple enough for you?

just look at your squad. i don't care what liverpool or anyone did in the past. right now you basically have 3 key players. one is horribly out of form, one is getting on in years, one has been okay but made some uncharacteristic errors. that is not even close to the worst of it though. people like konchesky and ngog start for you nowadays. there are so many players in the squad that shouldn't be playing for top half teams.

We're on pace for our worst season ever in the PL. Not sure why you think that's par for the course.

THIS IS NOT THE TEAM YOU HAD BEFORE
12-11-2010 , 04:32 PM
Anyone think City are title contenders?

I mean he does make a good point, Konchesky is starting our games.

I'm aware of that.

This squad is miles better than some PL squads we've had.

Was last year's 7th an outstanding show?

We will become a mid-table side if Hodgson is not removed, that is clear.

Resorted to rhetorical questions already yeah.

Okay move on, nothing to see here.

When has the last time Liverpool lost more games than they won?

My point being, last season you finished 7th. Which makes you a mid-table side. You then weakened your squad over the summer, and the division got a lot harder this year - the easy pickings of Burnley, Hull and Portsmouth are gone. What was everyone expecting?

Your out and out 2nd striker is David ****ing Ngog. I mean sit back and think about that for a second. That is truly mind blowing.
12-11-2010 , 04:37 PM
Im expecting Liverpool to finish 6th.

Probably going to be too many draws against bottom half teams imo, although they have an outside chance, and I think they're nailed on for CL places.

If it was just a league with Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Tottenham than I'd say they would be legitimate contenders (although not favorites).
12-11-2010 , 04:39 PM
I mean which teams can you say that have a stronger squad than Liverpool?

N'gog isn't bad for a young lad and what we paid for him. We should have more depth there though. Keane didn't work out and we never bought a replacement.

don't get your hopes up. they don't have a chance at top 5 so there is no margin for error pretty much. with that logjam below its going to be quite a scrap for 6th.

So you think 22 points so far is reasonable for our squad?
