The only issue with bringing in Jose is that he is **** at buying new players and City would need to buy at least half a dozen new players to really compete at the level that they want to be competing at.

About the Golden Glove thing, VDS didn't play every game so Foster and/or Kuzak might be responsible for a couple of those clean sheets.

There are 2 or 3 that are questionable, but there are ~4 that are literally 100% textbook diving into the air before he is touched at all dives. Really you lose credibility for being THIS biased. Like I can acknowledge our players dive sometimes, but saying there are 0 dives in that video is completely shocking.

Ok there might have been some dives I admit. They were good dives tho. Smart dives.

I forgot if Entee is a Liverpool fan or a parody of a Liverpool fan. Halp.

I agree. Sadly City's chairman has just released a statement backing Hughes so we are stuck with him for another season, he really needs to step up now..

Good manager, but sometimes clubs don't fit. Look how Ramos & Jol have perfomed once they left Spurs for example. Maybe Hughes just won't fit with Man City?

Maybe, fancy a swap for Megson?

I don't think he's a good fit for City, but I don't think it's a one off thing either. I've seen nothing of Hughes to suggest he's capable of taking over a team with genuine aspirations of being a CL side. The tactical flaws Disturbance alluded to were evident in his Blackburn days, but they were superceded by an astuteness in the transfer market which is far more important when the midfield of the Premiership is as close as it is. I've still no idea why the hell they got rid of Sven, right there you had a manager with proven experience of handling major players and success when given a huge budget.

I'd be quite happy. Though I actualy think Megson is now doing a good job, it's just that more often than not the games are dire. That said when Bolton score then it tends to be in handfuls. Very very weird team this season.

Man City v Bolton this weekend, could be 0-0, could be 5-5

Nah, Bolton can't score 5 goals in one match.

Of course

Had something like 17 blanks, but also 7 games where we've scored 3 or more.

thaksin got a rid of sven for whatever reason he came up with. Sven is on the market, so a return to city may not be out of teh question

Ranieri just been sacked by Juve!

So.............Chelsea or Man City?

Rafa is a total tool.

Just show Fergie some respect as he is clearly a better manager and you might gain a bit of respect yourself. Instead of making yourself look like a total fool.

Fergie must be loving it

Thaksin got rid of Sven because he is an idiot egomaniac who doesn't understand football, I was absolutely gutted at the time and even more so when the takeover came. As someone else said further up the thread it would be perfect for Sven, he has the international reputation to attract top players and knows how to spend money to bring success (see Lazio).

I've heard on the grapevine that there may actually have been some talks between Jose and City but apparently he is set to become Real Madrid manager in the next few weeks. Time will tell on that one...

@fatshaft: I'm hoping we'll give a couple of our academy players a chance this weekend as there is nothing on the line for us now, although it would be nice to avenge our loss at the Reebok (had to look up the result, strange blankspot in my memory for some reason!)

Sacking Sven was a completely nonsensical decision at the time. I think Hughes might not be the answer long term but I think he should be given at least another season.

Surprising that?

Anyway, will Robinho be playing do you think? Son-of has been badgering to go to a game for the last couple of weeks, Eastlands is as good an away day as any.

All we need now is Villa to win next week. And send Sheerer down.

Not sure, he picked up a groin injury in the derby and the site I use for training reports hasn't updated yet this week. If he is fit he will obv play. I'm hoping Bojinov will be fit enough to start too, he's had almost 2 years out due to injury and only scored his first competitive goal on Saturday but I think he could do very well in the PL.

Enjoy the trip if you go but not the result obv.

Yeah Rafa just makes it better for Fergie. Would be fun to see how it works the other way around tho. I honestly think there is a pretty decent chance for that next year especially if cronaldo leaves.

naw man, Fergie has ice water in his veins. Just a totally cocky SOB. No wonder everyone hates him. I guess he "earned" the hate by pwning the prem for what seems like forever. Basically everyone is dying for him to retire already.
