At least Jota waited for Son to go off before taking his team down to 9, I guess

Lol, ^this and then some! Maybe 5odd years ago they were undervalued, but that has changed a ton recently. Toni Kroos with one year left on his contract at age 26 sure wouldn’t cost €25-30m these days.

Pathetic Liverpool. Ridiculous for Jota to get two yellow cards within 82 seconds, ridiculous to commit so many players forward and go for the win with 60 seconds to go, poor defence all round with mere seconds to go. Great effort to hold out for so long but it all counts for nothing now.

But as an Aussie, very happy for Ange.

Here come the fan police on social media.

"You'd think Spurs had just won the champions league not beaten 9 men with an injury time OG"

The PGMOL release a statement admitting a mistake was made in Spurs vs. Liverpool:

'PGMOL acknowledge a significant human error occurred during the first half of Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool'

'The goal by Luis Díaz was disallowed for offside by the on-field team of match officials. This was a clear and obvious factual error and should have resulted in the goal being awarded through VAR intervention, however, the VAR failed to intervene'

OMG lol the offside wasn't offside. I didn't even think twice about that as it's not a judgement call. Incredible hahahahaha.

Nevermind eh?

lol VAR. other than that disallowed goal, it was a well reffed game.
most ploppers seem convinced that every decision went wrong and there is a conspiracy against them.

It didn’t take long for the error to be admitted. They normally wait a day.

It's like offside is the one thing they should get right with an extremely high consistency because it's mostly black and white, but it's where some of the most egregious errors have been .

Simple answer is they asked olds to use technology and it's just oops the olds are bad at puters.

Yeah that's why it didn't even cross my mind, though thinking back I did think it a little odd that they weren't even showing the lines like they normally do.

Wonder what actually happened here, did they accidentally communicate something? Just fail to click the right buttons? Protocol wasn't followed so VAR didn't actually review?

No idea.

Will obviously take it though. Not even going to pretend that I'm not happy about the result and say "well obviously we'd have preferred to win without this egregious error, and I'd be happy to replay the game". Nope, **** off hahahahaha get in there. You win some you lose some.

Shouldn't go studs over the ball into someone's shin if you don't want to have to complain about the reffing, nor take someone out who's beaten you and nowhere near the ball.

Those crazy refs sending people off for red card offenses after reviewing it on the monitor.
