If Norwich stayed up would it be the greatest escape ever?

I know Villa had a crazy one a few years ago needing to get all those results in the last handful of games vs top half teams, but this seemed even more unlikely.

if dennis doesn't get that idiotic red card, they probably could have challenged for it. they made a decent push after being down to 10. if i was them i'd feel a little hard done by though, with the red card differential being negative in this one and all.

I also saw yesterday they announced due to new COVID restrictions they canceled all tickets to this game and will redo ticket sales on the 26th, with capacity being 50%. People are upset obviously as fans are coming from Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary etc and had accommodations booked.

I wouldn’t have had Dennis as captain up front with King and I would’ve had KDB with the armband.

Absolutely. Bearing in mind one of them is Arsenal and something about penalties and ignoring the fact that about half of red cards aren't anything to do with activity in the box, and also ignoring the double jeopardy rule, I think Ducky is right.

Captaining Dennis is/was fancy play syndrome though. Yes, he was going to have a double game week, but Watford aren’t exactly a free-wheeling side while Norwich have been bummed by teams in the CL spots or are chasing CL spots and Burnley are a tough out.

Captaining him most likely brings in 8-12 points for the two matches and there will be players who do that in one match. Captaining TAA likely would bring in more points with him assisting like nobody’s business and getting a clean sheet.

Only people who have a higher score points/90 in the league than Dennis are Salah, Pogba and Mahrez (though Dennis is way overperforming his xG).

In terms of fantasy he was averaging 6 fantasy points/90 prior to last night.
