Watching that performance from ings makes me realise how much Watkins works. Ings basically Darren bent out there.

Nakamba is incapable of passing a ball.

Elghazi is a joke of a footballer.

Cash and target regressed massively in that game.

Buendia did nothing by kept cutting back into trouble.

Hope this is just a one game thing. Bailey looked good.

The Chelsea academy is so nuts. Livramento 18 years old straight into another PL squad’s starting XI. James, Lamptey and him one after another.

Cantwell is having a ridiculous first half. 4 tackles won, 3 fouls drawn, 1 interception, zero fouls committed and seems confident over the ball. Rashica and Pukki looking confident also.

Norwich played way better than the result, Rashica is the real deal. Cantwell and Pukki seem pretty similar to 2 years ago.

I'm not kneejerking on Palace, Chelsea are absurdly good right now. I still think Burnley/Southampton/Brentford/Norwich are the leading contenders.

I swear I switched this yesterday, of course I woke up this morning and it's already too late as I'm 6 hours behind.

If I'm allowed to have the above as my lineup for full season and commish can switch then please do (you'll note that Dele nor KDB have played yet, and I don't think that Dele over Adams is controversial, certainly would rather have more attackers than Lowton). If I'm SOL then it's my own ****ing fault I guess, but I was certain I had done this. Must have not clicked confirm or something. My ineptitude has been clear from the start.

Yeah this seems fine to me and glad a couple others have chimed in to agree. Just change the lineup now to how you want it for the season, and if your week 1 score would’ve been different with that lineup let us know what the end of season adjustment should be. Seems obv if KdB is on the bench that it’s a mistake

Should've known it'd come back to bite me. Second half we were as bad as they were in the first. Should've been at least two up at half time. I doubt Brighton are going to do much better than they did last season.

Dreadful. He kept having the ball edge of area and just kept turning and going into 3 players.

Our preseason was awful. 2 or 3 games cancelled with players missing a lot of the rest of the games. Buendia was one of those. Looked very rusty.

It felt like a preseason performance. Everyone was very bad apart from bailey.

Going to be post international break until we see this team fully up to speed it seems like.

Already had fans wanting Smith sacked lol.

It's crazy how much narratives matter in football, like it matters more than what actually happens and a lot of the time, it's so out there.

I saw so many (granted, on reddit so w/e, but also pundits) deem Ben White a massive failure based on one game, saying he doesn't fit the system etc, while now people are praising Chalobah like he's the next JT (im obviously elated for him and he was amazing, but it's crazy how quickly and strongly these ideas form)

And what's more is how much it matters when people evaluate things. If Guardiola's team plays well, he's brilliant, if X other managers players do well, the players are carrying him.

I remember so many Chelsea fans saying how Hazard carried Sarri, completely neglecting the fact that perhaps there was a correlation between us finally having a manager playing offensive football and our best offensive player performing well.

Grazi, and honestly my week 1 score with my wanted lineup will likely be lower than what I get, will make sure to take off EOS.
