I just hope Madrid will need cash, will not get rid of Bale and will accept our 15 year downpayment offer for Odegaard

It's weird catching feels for a loan player. They can either sell him to us willingly, or we teach Matt Smith a few words of Norwegian/Spanish, and ship him back to Madrid if that's what it takes to keep Ø.

ACON next year is brutal for pool and arsenal.

Reading the athletic articles on football index, I don't get how the British public seems more naive to gambling than the North American side. This was just such an obvious scam. It more reminds me of Theranos and that saga.

This is the quietest these threads have been during an international break. Even the yanks aren't crowing in the USMNT thread when they're beating the Northern Ireland reserves

Have you watched much of us when he's been playing? He's been one of the most dangerous attacking threats most of the games he's played in. Involved in a ton of build up play and yes, he does track back.

I mean...he stacks up okish against many of the people mentioned as PoTY (and some others who are always rimmed) if you're just looking at radar:

People can take the piss out of the signing all they like, and yeah obviously he's not been the same player he was when he left in 2013, but he's been improving all the time and he has absolutely not been remotely bad for the most part.

I (and most Spurs fans I assume) would be thrilled if he stayed the second year if it didn't take away from us signing CBs etc.

your comparisons with salah and sterling are a stretch though entirely due to the immense amount more of minutes played from them vs Bale. All of this is nice except for the fact that he's not getting on the pitch for whatever reasons.

I was simply saying that deriding his performances for us was silly and backing that up, as he's been good.

He's been getting on the pitch more recently and I'm not sure you'll find too many (non-FBIAP type) Spurs fans who don't want him to play more

Aguero has been told his contract won’t be renewed. I’m looking forward to 8bus hating on his statue.

In before they bid £175m for Kane.

Bale on loan again sounds like a Levy-style replacement.

Frees up space to bring in Haaland, Aguero goes to Barca surely?

Wasn’t expecting that. Don’t think they go after haaland. They prob are linked to him all summer then bring in Danny ings (lol) for cheap. Business as usual. They fire off 70-80 million at Will but haaland seems to be in a different stratosphere.

I’m an idiot. Aguero rules and had a hell of a ride at city

Do we take this? Of course I'd love to see Kane at Spurs for his career, but I wouldn't begrudge him a move to City after everything he's done for us.

He's 28 this summer and will have 3 years left on his contract, so perhaps the last time we get stellar money for him. I think if he's not interested in a new contract, we should certainly consider it...

Window to get money for Kane is shut. Everyone is broke and who would spend over 90m on Kane when you can get Lautaro or Haaland for that?

Yeah agree with AO. Kane has always had the "Zaha problem" where his club values him way more than suitors would be willing to pay. Kane is obviously amazing but it's not just him, I think we'll see a significant drop in big buys for 28+ year old players going for huge sums which will affect Salah etc. too

I don't disagree with either argument but if Spurs take £175m for Kane it's not like they can bring in Haaland or any top tier players to replace him. We probably get 3 £50m lottery tickets at best who might cover Kane's numbers.

However, I agree the Zaha situation is a good analogy as Levy isn't taking a phone call for anything south of £150m.
