Not only paid to have it flown. that banner nneds made, and it looks professional, as someone said earlier it needed agreement from pilot/company. This isn't some quick job, or even a drunken half racial shout at a game......Time, planning and numerous people have to be involved for this

To be clear to my point, there was plenty time for this to be stopped by numerous people along the chain. As we see, it wasn't.

From initial idea(No doubt crowd funded among fans too) to take off, sooooo much time and opportunity for this not to have happened.

What do you believe is more likely, this was just some random individual, or multiple people were part of this?

Do you even understand the culture of English football, lol wtf? This was most definitely a group of fans that have put money together and made this happen. There’s a massive difference between what’s more likely and “no doubt”. I don’t know how much a flying banner costs but I can’t imagine the costs are so prohibitive that one person couldn’t afford it.

It has nothing to do with football culture and everything to do with you jumping to baseless conclusions. Let’s all take a breath and see how the club handles the whole situation. Perhaps it was 20-30-40 people getting together to fly it,it surely wasn’t the entire burnley fan base.

If the club comes out and says “this is unacceptable and we don’t want supporters who are racist”. That’s not a black eye on the club it’s progress.

I’m willing to admit that you might be right. If your argument was “probably crowd sourced” then yeah, I’d agree. But you instantly jump to the ideas that the conclusion is obvious.

The entire burnley team took a knee before the match in solidarity with the BLM movement. They wore “Black Lives Matter” instead of their name on the back of their shirts. The club captain came out and spent his entire interview stating that the players and largely the burnley fan base were disgusted by the banner.

Of course words matter. Burnley should come out and aggressively denounce the banner and ban any fans they find associated with it.

An anonymous gesture like flying a banner is exactly what I mean. I'm not saying no one reacts badly to moments of silence, I meant most *******s are cowards at heart. No way would whoever paid for that banner attach their name/reputation ahead of time. There is obviously also a subset of people just trying to get a reaction, but again, this is a minority.
