Do Leicester have an amazing scouting team or have they just been running like God with their acquisitions? Pulled vardy and mahrez from nowhere, got slabhead for a pittance and sold him for major profit then immediately replaced him with Soyuncu who looks like he could be the next big money centre back, to say nothing of their constant rotation of guys who do a good steady job and don't cost much. Have they had many real busts?

Literally every time one team beats another in a league game the winning team were lucky and the losing team were unlucky. Understanding this doesn't have anything to do with xG models.

If City play a Watford team fielding only goalkeepers with cerebral palsy and manage to win 66:0 they get awarded three points while they were expected to get 2.999999 then it was a lucky outcome for them.
