[QUOTE=kingweed;55195650]Chelsea as a club, i think, need a manager that the fans will love and will get behind.

Sarri, on reflection done an amazing job.

If it wasn't for Kepa, who knows what would have happened in that final.

/QUOTE]

Sarri has been really good but for some reason casuals just love to get a good lol in. That Kepa incident was meaningless and would have changed nothing

This is why I disagree. It theoretically makes sense but maybe as a sign of my entrenched pessimism post Fergie I can't see even basic positive steps happening. We will be seeing Lingard and Young more than ever.

Other than Chelsea, why would you think the rest are likely to go backwards?

Spurs will lose Eriksen and possibly more. I can't see them replacing with equal quality. Arsenal are lol Arsenal. They are in perpetual slow motion free fall. Again only likely to lose quality and replace with worse.

Arse will get top 4 next year with Chelsea and Utd in 5th/6th. Assuming, of course, that Chelsea are stupid enough to hire Fat Frank.

IMO, in the eyes of elite players, Man City are Real Madrid. Liverpool are Barcelona.
Spurs are currently Athletico Madrid
Man Utd and Chelsea are battling to be Sevilla
Leicester and Wolves are battling to be Levante.

Arsenal are Deportivo or Valencia

I'm agreeing so closely with raz that I must be wrong

Arsenal are in a rough spot for next year, but if Chelsea don't get some reinforcements in there is a gigantic Hazard shaped hole in that squad. He was involved in half of their goals.

Arsenal should take a step back next year and invest in youth/cut out ozil/mkhit but they don't have the balls to do so.

I've clearly not had the time to make a new thread and I doubt I'm going to have the time to do so any time this week, so if anyone else wants to make the 19/20 thread be my guest

Don't get why Arsenal fans are so keen to offload Micki.

He's got two years left on his deal, the only thing we will be competitive for in that window is the Europa League. If we can offload his nearly 200k pw and play Nelson/A young incoming signing instead, give a kid a chance.
06-17-2019 , 10:33 PM
You don't want to re-sign him though, is what I mean?
06-18-2019 , 03:44 AM
Chelsea have a necessity to use youth so may as well bring in people who will use them.

More of a man manager than a tactical genius seeing as though they won't be able to impart their own ideology on the team too much with a transfer ban.

Would have been a good mind game with former city keeper going in the sticks though.

We will never know though. At least we got the joys for Kepa being the manager for a game.

Anyone seen that re taken penalty due to VAR in the woman’s World Cup?

They’ve got to iron that out. If the player missed, it’s irrelevant if the keeper has sprung off her line at the exact point she kicks the ball.

Not to mention the players running in the box.

So inconsistent and frustrating.

Want Mkhi gone because he has had about half the good performances as Özil since joining and looks to give even less of a ****. He is on way too high wages along with the rest of the WIL trash.

You'll get top 4 this year. Utd are a joke and Chelsea will regress quite a bit with Fat Frank and no Hazard.

City
Liverpool
Spurs
Arse

Chelsea
Utd

Sounds more like you’re arguing for Southgate there.

Reckon they will get slabhead and honestly although the fee will be massive hes a good CB and will improve them decently.

Same thing applies. But more so in many ways due to the transfer ban.
It makes sense. Need a manager everyone will get behind and will give the young players a chance. A bit like Southgate.

He really isn't terrible. Maybe if it's that he isn't Hazard or KDB type players he's terrible but he's in the next tier at least (although that would mean he's overpaid I guess). I think the fact that he looks like he doesn't give a **** means people ignore that he's actually good.

Not sure who Arsenal think they're going to get that's a ton better, I guess they're hoping they're going to find the next Sterling in the youth team or whatever.
