And that’s not even getting into randomly sticking sterling in the middle which is silly. I get they have to play Bernardo and apparently he creates more on the right than he does in the middle but sticking sterling in the middle is bizarre.

Yes, that's what Pep clearly thinks. Maybe you are right and he's wrong. Possible I suppose. Or maybe you don't know what you are watching and give too little credit to people who work with him every day and are generally considered competent.

Without even getting into stats it’s completely ridiculous. Speaking of actual stats pull sanes up since joining city. He is indeed inconsistent but it’s not just about the numbers which he puts up wildly it’s about the space he creates on the left. They - completely objective - played better with sane in the second half than they did woth foden In the first. It’s not a coincidence.
He creates no space when the other team is sitting on the edge of their box. He's fantastic when teams are more open and I think he should have played more (Spurs first leg, for example), but at this stage and at this level, if you can't be trusted to keep the ball well and create consistently, in his position, he can't be played in these games. His great moments don't make up for it and he needs to improve some parts of his game massively.

Im not 100% relaxed re Foden playing these big games, but he's done fine and the staff clearly feel he's ready. I wouldn't play him Sunday.

Yeah fair enough. I’m not gonna quibble over it. I don’t agree foden should start there and think continuing to play Bernardo out wide is not optimal but I’m not also the coach of a team that’s won 14 in a row in the league or whatever. I get the sane side of inconsistency (Germany, city).

Don’t think I can ever say another bad word about alien head if City win the title, no matter how whiny he is. Could not have hit that more perfectly. It’s almost as if god helped that one on its way.

Having a hard time envisioning having the nerve to laugh at Pool though, provided they don’t cock up the last game.

First time I think I’ve heard Sane referred to as overrated.

Has to be. I mean, we're going to end up on 97 points and come 2nd. It's pretty laughable really.

For what it's worth, Sterling was ****ing great playing through the middle the year Rodgers almost took Liverpool to the title. Of course, he had Suarez and peak Sturridge playing in front of him to help create space.

Not only could he, but I suspect he will be playing for Madrid or Barcelona next year sadly.

Again near the top of the assist charts this year, another 7 goals from him playing deep, and a pretty impressive radar.

Sure he's not Busquets or Messi or Modric, obvs.

Ha, Agger, Carragher, Skrtl and Hyypia had some excellent years together. I'm sure I'm forgetting the fact that there was another ace CB at some point.

Kompany took notes from Schar's hit against Burnley obviously.

Modric wasn't Modric until he moved to Madrid.

Was probably rated less highly than Eriksen when he was at Spurs.

Saw Modric watching his countryman Marin Čilić at the Madrid Open yesterday.

And he juggled a tennis ball 100 times for the spectators after the match jk

Why do all his team mates talk to Kompany like he has a barely literate grasp of the English language?
05-07-2019 , 08:46 AM
I notice Aguero manages to speak to Kompany in a English.
Maybe that’s what 8bus meant by fraud.

So, City are going to bring in Bruno Fernandes for €50m. Then are looking at also bringing in Rodri (€60m) and Joao Felix (€80-90m). Probably also will look at bringing in a LB. Likely spending another 200m or so this summer on top of the squad they already have.

It will take a minimum 100 points to have a chance to win the league. How long until the Premier League is like the French League?
05-07-2019 , 10:08 AM
Yea city are 8/11 for next year and I feel like hammering it. We are the only team that’s got within a mile of them last 2 seasons and I can’t see us keeping this standard again next year unless we nail the summer window. Very likely city win it by 10+ next year.
05-07-2019 , 10:08 AM
They aren’t bringing in a left back and reportedly want to net spend around 100m
05-07-2019 , 10:10 AM
Scary when you think that KDB has basically been out all year too.
05-07-2019 , 10:21 AM
They also won’t get Felix. I don’t think they’d spend that much and every big club in the world will be after him. They’ll be lucky to get 1 of those 3

I hope Fernandes and Felix come to the prem league whether it's with City or someone else

Perfect replacements for Fernandinho and Silva who are getting on a bit in years
