Yeah also watched the first ep last night and it was incredibly bland. Was also super abbreviated.

Would not recommend.

Hoping the amazon city doc is well done. Filming the entire season is pretty elite. Can’t wait to see it.

Basketball is probably the second most popular team sport in the world (in terms of global spread rather than sheer numbers). I still find the NBA is still a terrible product though. The college game is much more exciting.

Same, all I saw was a bunch of rehearsed lines and other things to make Juventus look very professional and generically awesome

It's exciting because it's BO1s. Although I will give you that the time out and general lack of flow in NBA play off games is awful and getting worse.

The standard gap has never been higher I'd say. It'd be like watching League two because it's more exciting. It probably is. But it's terrible in comparison.

I dont know what you guys were expecting from the documentar. I got what I was expecting, highlights of some games and 5 mins interview of players. This was never going to be Lastchance deep.

Full disclosure: I was watching the beggining of season 2 of Billions and after 3 episodes I had to stop watching because it just got too ridicoulous so I decided to watch Juventus. The standards were low, maybe if you saw Juventus instead of The Godfather you are right to not like it.

The standard isn't as high of course but the overall game is way better to watch.

I think I'd have to disagree with that. Watching poor shooting and little understanding of how to properly run an iso can be cringe-worthy. This year is weird because you have an 8-way cluster**** of tanking, but, I think that will start to happen less with the slight change in the lottery come next year.

That said, I'd much rather watch the NBA than college basketball and I don't think it's even close. The shooting in the NBA is *really* good these days and you have more teams wanting to play an up-tempo/high pressing game with a lot of off the ball movement. To make a point, the Bulls are awful, but Hoiberg has made them somewhat watchable because he finally has a team playing the style he has wanted them to play. Even with them being as bad as they are, they are much more enjoyable to watch rather than a random College game IMO.

If it's anything like the NFL series they do it should be pretty good

Can’t agree for a number of reasons (imo the fact that the players aren’t all lights out shooters actually makes the game more interesting, play design/coaching needs to be cleverer in order to get good looks, in the NBA the players are so good they don’t even *need* good looks), but I take your point. Just a taste thing. Fwiw I prefer NCAAF as a product to the NFL too and I absolutely love the NFL.

And re Bulls - I live in Chicago (British but living here) so am more aware of the Bulls right now than any other team not named the Warriors, Rockets, or any team which has Lebron on it, lol. Wife is from Chicago so I guess am technically a Bulls fan, but she doesn’t care so it’s tricky for me to do so yet! When I’ve been here from the start of a season it may be different.

Also, it’s tough to compare the NBA to a ‘random’ college game. College has the tournament (and conference tournaments). That’s a huuuuuuge factor.

Well college standard is terrible, NBA's is good. if you are into watching poor basketball because you like the excitement or whatever NCAA provides, be my guest

Probably as many basketball fans in Philippines than there is golf in Europe lol
03-27-2018 , 07:10 AM

03-27-2018 , 07:31 AM

Thx, I will

A friend of mine has two season tickets for the Bulls, and his brother is out of town for roughly 10-15 games a season, so I'm sure I'll go a bunch next year. Also the Bulls are playing @ Houston tonight so maybe I'll watch that and see if I can summon some ability to care.

Basketball is what we played in PE at school when it was raining.

Interesting thread I saw on FB today (about Ricardo Quaresma). Which player do you think has most failed to live up to their potential? How about specifically for your own club?

In before Sonny Pike, Cherno Samba, Ibrahima Bakayoko.....

Giovani Dos Santos comes to mind for us.
