It is close, but debate settled starting at 10.28

lol BBC pundits amirite.

Neville and Carragher much better.

Ferdinand on the bench at 0.36

lol united homers.

Only skimmed to get to conclusion, which is of course Terry>Rio but interesting stat jumped out.

Terry 32 goals. Lolio only 11.

Terry v Rio

Ferdinand has made an average of 27 league appearances per season, and in that time, has kept an average of 12.9 clean sheets per season. In total, he’s kept a clean sheet for every 2.085 games.

Terry’s 311 appearances work out at an average of 31 games per season, with a clean sheet rate of 15.9.

Terry's best Clean Sheet record was in title winning 2005-06 season, while Ferdinand had an impressive 19 CS in 2007-08. In fact, Terry has kept over 20 CS during three seasons: 2004-05, 05-05, and 08-09.

Rio was the complete central defender. Terry was a Brave Englishman who played for some excellent defensive Chelsea teams. Very good at what he did tho.

But for 95% of teams, Rio>Terry. Ironically, Utd are now in the 5%.

one surprising thing i heard about JT was souness or hansen or someone talking about the most two footed players in the PL, and whoever it was said #1 cazorla #2 terry. i was like wat

cant find it but here's something similar from TH,

Quote:
THIERRY HENRY says Chelsea captain John Terry was one of the best defenders with the ball at his feet he played against in the Premier League.

Henry played against the former England defender numerous times throughout his Arsenal career.

He admits he was surprised with how good Terry was with the ball at his feet after initially seeing him as a no-nonsense centre-back in the Blues defence.

"One of (the best I've played against) yeah, I would have to say,"

"A very hard defender but clever. I remember him arriving in the league and he was just raw, in your face, kicking you, old school.

"And then two years after that I started to see him pinging the ball with his left foot to the other side and with his right foot.

"Composure, passing the ball to (Claude) Makelele, and I was looking at him and thinking 'what has happened to this guy? I thought he was only like a fighter and that's it' but he elevated his game.

There's a video going round of them on a bridge chucking beer on tourists in boats on the water below. And some dick chucks a bike with a kid's seat on it into the canal. They aren't very popular here atm

they look like the sort of people who will be very excited to get their new blue passports. a shame that they'll prolly be confiscated for long periods

Be interesting to see if they're so ballsy in Russia.

He's put Evra and Vidic in there and Rio is obviously better than both and indeed was a key reason why both were so good.
