Good guardian story on 90s Chelsea coaches Graham Rix and Gwyn Williams, and how mad racist they are. i know you're thinking, '90s? chelsea? racism? i am truly shocked', but this is some next level stuff.

Quote:
Other allegations include that Rix or Williams called him a “darkie”, a “nignog”, a “black bastard”, a “wog”, “midnight”, “jigaboo” and various other insults. The player also alleges he was told by Williams to “**** off back to Africa” and “sell drugs or rob old grannies”. Williams is not accused of any physical assaults but would allegedly punish the player by telling him to “go and clean my office, Richard Pryor – shine my shoes like a good wog” or “pick up your lip, it’s dragging on the floor”.
Quote:

“Even at 12, 13, the vernacular he [Williams] was using was: ‘You little black bastard, you ****, you little wog, how are you doing?’ I was a minor, I’d never heard those words being said to someone [in football]. He addressed me like that every time he saw me. He’d walk in [the dressing room] and go: ‘Hey, look at the ****ing blackies here then. ****ing rubber lips. Look at their ****ing big noses. You black bastard. Been ****ing robbing cars, have you?’ Let me tell you something – that is the most demoralising feeling you could ever have.”

I just didn’t know how to handle it and it was constant … the racial slurs of ‘****,’ ‘wog,’ ‘monkey’ … ‘smoking wacky-backy’, which is marijuana, or ‘black bastard,’ ‘****ing black bastard,’ ‘mango-muncher’, ‘******.’

The same player is said to have decided to stand up to Rix when, according to the evidence, the coach asked him whether he had “tried to **** any of our white girls” at the weekend. In the ensuing argument, Rix allegedly threw a cup of coffee in his face. “It burnt my face,” the player says. “I went to grab him. I wanted to kill this guy. Then I had to think … black boy, six foot whatever, hits a white coach – he’s out of football. So I had to hold myself in and I went in to put water on my face because it was burning.”
and let's not forget

Quote:
Rix, 60, also has a chequered past after admitting, in March 1999, two charges of unlawful sex with a 15-year-old girl and indecent assault and being sentenced to 12 months in prison, serving six of them, as well as being put on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years. He was reinstated by Chelsea immediately after his release from Wandsworth Prison

hope the players involved take chelsea for millions and the two coaches die bankrupt in a ditch.

aorn they're ~3.75 to finish t4 and ~6.5 to ship the EL. Generally agree that it depends on his effect on those chances wether it makes sense to sell, but if it's 30 million quid I think that's a sell. That's like half the difference between CL and EL revenues right?

Btw looking at those EL odds, they seem weird. Atletico favs at 6, ok. But Arsenal 6.5 and dortmund 11 seems like way too big a difference.

But yeah looks like most major outlets are now reporting that united may be faves

Lol

Nice job City

not sure why city fans would be overly perturbed

doesn't improve city much right now, guaranteed to be useless in a couple years and no where near good enough to overcome the curse of ferguson if he ends up at man u

Why would you do this to yourself?

I think gambling on 2-3 young players would make this window an ok one.

Losing Sanchez obviously sucks balls, but it is inevitable and better to get some money back now when we bricked most everything. I still have the faintest of hope that we will resign Özil...iknowiknow

Selling to United would be great way of saying here you go top4 Utd. Lol arsenal

Jesus went to Barca and reported to be back in 2-3 weeks

If united somehow land Alexis and still play dog**** insufferable mouball he should be banished from the EPL

supposedly welbz and ramsey only have 18 months left. not exactly world class players, but still damaging if they leave for 0

maybe big weng is trying to do the ferguson thing where he leaves the next manager with absolutely nothing

I don't want to go to work today (and technically I don't have to); I just want to stay at home and follow the Eltbus/Sanchez saga. The weather has turned to **** anyway.

I feel that elrazor and a computer science person should do a clinical psychology/sentiment analysis on bus' postings over time. I'm sure it would make for alarming reading.

i think alexis is a lot better than sane and sterling. sane has too many **** touches and sterling is a little bit fraudulent.

Can't imagine it's any worse than the redcafe transfer forum which I subject myself to about 1x a day during transfer windows, so I'll pass.

Sanchez definitely moves the needle for City at least a little bit wrt CL and they can easily afford the luxury. I think he makes a lot less sense for us actually. I wouldn't turn my nose up at him though.

i agree but that's prob only going to be true for like 18 months tops, gap is closing all the time. idk if i were cityfan i'd spend less time fretting about the potential for a high-cost short-term upgrade at winger and more time destroying the f5 button on this page while praying to any/all available gods for for no update
01-12-2018 , 10:47 AM
Am I the only one thinking that getting Mkhitaryan and cash for Alexis would be decent business for Arsenal? Mkhi’s value is at its bottom right now, and with a manager who gives him a bit of freedom he should get back to his old form reasonably high % of the time.
01-12-2018 , 10:49 AM
miki in return could def work out. alternatively they might want to take advantage of mou's distrust of non-pensioners and have a go at martial/shaw
01-12-2018 , 10:51 AM
Sanchez improves city by at least a little bit. Since money is not a consideration (especially at the prices we've been hearing), I don't see why any city fan shouldn't want him
01-12-2018 , 10:54 AM
Alexis may be better than Sané and Sterling now, but as baids alluded to, think their value on the market right now if they were all free agents would be Sané>Sterling>>Sanchez

For no update?
01-12-2018 , 10:55 AM
the fee is ~nothing but you've got to pay him 250k+ week for 5 years plus 8 figure signing bonus plus 8 figure agent fees. its probably something like £120m all told

just for instance i think they'd have been better off throwing that at vvd assuming he is what ppl say he is
01-12-2018 , 10:59 AM
Mkhi and Özil in the same side seems like it would either be super sick or absolutely horrendous with nothing inbetween
