lest we forget Spurs were 8 points behind with 3 to play, whereas Plop were 5 clear with 3 to play.

Yes we know spurs have never even been close

I believe City needed to go a perfect 9/9 after the chelsea game to win the title so it was from dusted, it's the PL not la liga where teams bend over before kickoff

Mk dons 5/6 Chelsea u21 9/4 before kick off. Now Dons 3/1 v 4/5 7 minutes in.

Any reason why or did I just read the coupon wrong?

Won't be surprised to find out I've read the coupon wrong (was in bookies) as I'm convinced they make them as colourful and as jumbled up as possible just to confuse everyone.

Been watching a bit of something called the Mosconi Cup the last couple of days. I'm not an expert on pool billards but I legit thought that was an amateur tournament at first with players over running position by half a meter and missing gimme shots... But apparently it's the best players in the world going at it.

I'd think that any main tour snooker player would skull **** these guys, but I know Ronnie has tried pool a few times and hasn't been that successful. I just can't wrap my head around why. Potting and positional skill wise Snooker players seem like they're way way better.

If Ronnie (or others) took it seriously they would rape the pool world imo. Don't think many took it seriously at all. Mediocre snooker players have done pretty well at pool when they turned their hand to it. Some pool hustling English guy had a well on 2+2 somewhere and his opinion was pretty close to that.

When Ronnie and co play pool they can hold their own and win a reasonable amount of games. Put the best pool players in a snooker match and I doubt they win a single frame vs someone like O'Sullivan.

believe the main difference is the break, its the most important shot in pool by far and the snooker lads dont get anything like as much power/backspin on their break shot compared to the pool lads

When you see the way the pool pockets accept the ball, I'm surprised a top snooker player would ever miss any pot on a pool table.

I seem to remember Steve Davis playing in the Mosconi Cup.

Yeah, its insane comparing table pockets for 9 ball, they are just massive gapes compared to the snooker tables.

You see shots run down the line, make contact halfway down the rail, and still drop easily.

One of the advantages for pool (as opposed to snooker) as well as the break is probably having to be a little bit more creative with specific early frame play (since you always have exactly one target ball, as opposed to roughly half the table you can aim for in snooker). But it isn't as if a snooker player couldn't spend a week getting a grip on that and becoming a very expert pro by the end of it.

except Efren Reyes, he is a fantastic player.

Iirc one of the euros last year was a complete unknown snooker player but held his own with the best of the pool world using a snooker cue throughout the competition. Rip the wamy well btw, that was one of my favourites back in the day.

He occasionally goes to same place i play pool/drink. Gone from winning 200k$+ at tournies to trying to hustle foreigners for a few 1000php. (although that still is a lot of $ for a filipino but still)

i think pool tables at top competitions are reducing pocket size recently.

Could be wrong here also: but surely you have more space in snooker for maneuvering white ball, and if you over/under shoot a bit, it isnt as bad.

There's a guy in my local snooker league who also played nine ball very well (was top 5 in the country at one point), he played snooker with his nine ball cue and still made centuries

The lolsun claims Ozil is close to renewing with arsenal.

Probably not surprising when he shopped himself around and only got interest from Everton and gold+Sullivan

There's been a lot of talk about United wanting him actually. Not sure if I'm supposed to be relieved or disappointed now.

Who do people have as the most underrated player in the PL currently? Someone who's playing at a level far higher than he gets credit for.

Spoiler:
