No need to apologise, either, I'm over it already. The performance shows how far we've come in such a short space of time. It wasn't backs to the wall for 90 minutes like the last time, we spent long periods of the game on the front foot and were comfortably the better team in the first half.

I'm all for loling at the scots, but I think it's a better system. They have group stages which they play in pre-season and then do the KOs sparingly in this half of the season. Think teams here would take it a lot more seriously if that were the case here.

All teams can take it 'seriously', you have competitive games in pre-season to get teams off to a better start as well.

I'm surprised the league cup hasn't followed suit to be honest.
