Yep, great spot. Bit of nostalgia for me as that's where I'd go from 05-07ish when all games weren't available on tv here and I was like the only American dude in the pub. During that 13-14 season it got to the point where the hipsters got word of a packed bar where people start drinking at 9am and the hispters themselves were obnoxiously drunk by halftime with no real interest in the game, but that was short lived. I've been there for plenty of boring nil-nil's but the highs of a game like City in the 13-14 season when Coutinho scored the goal, or Arsenal on opening day last year make the trips in worth it

Seemed 50/50 americans/brits when I went. Would have liked to have seen the atmosphere for a goal, but alas I picked the wrong game.

Yea nowadays it's definitely at least 50/50 and usually way more Americans. The atmosphere isn't what it used to be but it's still a great place to watch a game and still one of the best around. And I've gotten to know some of the people that go so makes it fun

In regards to the Pool Palace friendly it's also great to have Henderson back tearing around the pitch like a mad man when out of possession.

Said months ago that Zaha shouldn't have been allowed to leave UTD so soon. Nearly always impressed by him.

Don't want to play any of them for same reasons as before, I like to go to the games with the odd euro away. Not a ****ing chance I'm going to England for an away day.

I'm not representative of all Liverpool fans. I was optimistic but never sure whether he was a genius or a lucky fool from the start, when he did that dumb envelope thing in the channel 5 documentary.

Fwiw I liked Brendan when he was Pool boss. Cringey as hell at times but the supporters took to him, plus you never get much moaning from him.

He also gave us the "Jonjo Shelvey, the king of the golf, the king of the golf course" line as well.

Going to the Manchester United vs City match tonight in Houston, Texas. I have been to multiple MLS games but really excited to see United in person. I know it is preseason but I'm hoping at least the big names will get some action.
