Had one as well. Pride and joy. Only to be used on grass. Lasted ages too but eventually met it's end in a thornbush.

not able to watch but judging by the commentary, foden is goating all over brazil. back to back hat tricks for lamon brewster in the quarters and semis is pretty cool too. world cup 2030 etc

brazil just brought on that kid that RM paid 45m for. bet they wish they'd gone for FODEN instead

I've still got the Tricolore from 98 in my parents garage.

anyone remember this

had one knocking around the house for about a decade. used to dribble round the cats

Nketiah is the first player born after Wenger became manager to score a goal for Arsenal. Over/under on the number of players in total who will do this?

I will set the line at 35.5

Brewster and Nketiah both signed from Chelsea. Wonder if they will end up as Pogba/Dr Bruyne/Lukaku regrets.

From what I've seen Foden's a superstar.
10-25-2017 , 09:58 AM
He's probably the new Josh McEachran.
10-25-2017 , 10:02 AM
Can't wait to see how terrible he'll be in the senior team

snark is justified for 17 year olds in 99% of cases

OUR PHIL seems to be the 1% tho

the above posts have been filed away in the langer portion of my temporal lobe

Nketiah looked like an absolute boss yesterday. he could have scored 2 more

Until I see him doing it in the PL I will remain a sceptic. Messi, Fabregas etc were already doing it at his age. Given how highly he is rated I would expect to see him get decent minutes for City towards the end of this season (like Rashford).

Someone on Arsenal FanTV apparently claimed that Nketiah was like Kane and Rashford combined?

Some might say that's a little premature.

Those balls. That would then turn into one of these:-

I can’t remember why but we always used that ball even if we had a new one. I’m sure it was down to the bounce? Or that you could utterly smash it with a curler, until the sad day that the inside popped out the side.

Next new ball would also be blown up way to hard, lucky car windscreens are difficult to smash.

These gloves as well.

And everyone wanted to be the king

Got me thinking, did everyone play headers and volleys? Or worldie?

Wembley singles for the most part at school.

Pretty impressive from England to win the u20 and make the final of the u17.
But
Brazil won this tournament 3 times, in 97 with Fabio Pinto as our leading scorer, in 99 led by Leonardo Santiago and 03 when Abuda and Evandro were our leading top scorers. If you google these players you might find something about them winning a u17 WC and thats about it.

Headers and Volleys and Dog were the main games. We also used to play loads into one goal where the keeper would have to hoof it and both teams could score into the same net. By net I mean jumpers for goalposts.
10-25-2017 , 01:01 PM
Wtf is dog?

Headers and Volleys yes, no idea what worldie is. If the keeper caught the ball in headers and volleys they got to switch out with the person who headered or volleyed. Did everyone here have a kid at their school who claimed their dad invented headers and volleys? LOL.

We used to play 60 seconds too which was just timed headers and volleys, keeper had to keep everything out for 60 seconds to win and switch out.

Also used to play Wembley Singles/Doubles/Triples, one goal but teams of 1/2/3 trying to score in it. My midlands mates at uni used to call it "Cuppies" apparently.
