Hardly the point. Point is that Suarez and Sturridge will easily mask managerial deficiencies. Having Suarez and having Sturridge go through a season without injury is luckboxing.

sturridge made 29 pl appearances in 2013-14 and 20 last season, he was likely included in +29 matchday squads last season.

What managerial deficiencies does Brent have? I'll answer it for you: NONE.

He was repeatedly coming back from injury and couldn't play major minutes. Hence why he played 769 last season vs 2277 in 2013/2014.

Wasn't Suarez suspended for 6 or 8 games to start that season as well?

Why would it include the Scottish league? It says PL.

Brent is hilarious. Provides great entertainment and if you listen to the football ramble you’ll love him even more!

He doesn't pull faces, jump around on the touchline or do amusing interviews, all key skills for a Plop manager.

Pulis, Allardyce and Hodgson have a combined zero relegations.

Palace's next 4 fixtures:

Southampton (h)
City (a)
United (a)
Chelsea (h)

Hodgson out after 4 games as well then.

pards must feel sick that hes never included in these lists of brave english hoofballers that will keep you up. afaik his only relegation was when he took over charlton when they were in last place at xmas with 12 points, and he ended up getting them to 34 pts and close to safety but not quite making it

i think its cos he luckboxed that 5th once with newcastle so people thinks hes a bit too fancy dan

Big Sam resigned when Bolton were in 5th with two games left, oh god take me back

I agree with this. I think it was a poor hiring decision but sacking him after 4 games is doubling down on that poor decision. Like if you choose to take that risk you can't be doing it for short term.

To be fair to Sam, he was replaced at Newcastle and Blackburn around Xmas. When you're replaced by Keegan v1.2 and Steve Kean respectively, you can't really expect them to flourish.

He left WHam and Sunderland at the end of successful seasons and other than that his other jobs were Palace and Bolton.

He's got a clean record

When Woy left Blackburn, it was late November '98. Brian Kidd had plenty of time to make them worse and go down.

As for Pulis, he's Pulis. He's the master.

The problem for any club signing Allardyce is if you sack him because he's not doing well you're stuffed. The only manager with the credentials to save you has just left the building.

Oh I know that, just pointing out that Rodgers has gone on to become the GOAT.
