lol

I have no idea what you are talking about in half of that post. TP made a joke for obvious reasons if you have been following this thread. I made a comment in jest back that finally there was a reasonable take on that goal. It wasn't any more complicated than that. Then you had to challenge the validity of that exchange in all your pedantic glory.

As far as "what goal matters more", my only (not remotely controversial) claim is that you shouldn't be as worried about fluke goals like that as say, other types of goals that can be easily classified and trained to attempt or defend (ie: set pieces, near post crosses, or something of that sort) that will come up more frequently and cost you if you are consistently bad at stopping them.

nobody does. that's why it was brought up as a trollish joke.

and it's easier than it looks anyway.

That's great. Also Pierliuigi Collina's head is something. Makes me believe there's life on other planets

Who is worried by this though?

Who worries about wondergoals, be it before or after the fact?

Cite needed.

may have been a joke, then why has it taken so long for this to be said? and again mw comes after the fact, using someone elses point/answe/opinion. lol

If it was purely a joke, wtf even engage then? To troll me? Or because he knows exactly the point I'm trying to make, and why he has attempted to answer the question/s?

I can't continue this discussion because I haven't got a clue what you are on about. Sorry.

it took so long to be said because those of us that actually read and post itt consistently knew it was a joke

May god have mercy on your souls. JESUS arrives in a day or two and it's been hinted that he will be involved early.

yeah it's gonna be fun bus. you've made it so that he is guaranteed to be a failure since he won't literally be god.

I have faith. The Holy Ghost has been inserted inside of me.

Oh no clue, even though you have tried to answer twice(well once on your own!) before claiming the above was a joke, I read this thread consistently, I may not post much, but I read it all(well apart from most international breaks..lol) and firstly, the above was not your reply that was a joke with TP. This is a stand alone statement that goes right in tune with your weird 'I know it all' condescending style of posting.

Own your statement, and explain it....or dont, but dont lie and claim it was a joke like I'm some fool.

As a reminder....

Explain the above statement. Or just say you were just clicking buttons (I mean you love a good poker analogy...)

I guess the way Spurs have played so far this season, 10 points off the top feels about right.

However, sitting top 4 a point behind Arsenal averaging >2 points per game after a lot of injuries to key players, and some pretty inauspicious performances both as a team and by key individuals leaves room for optimism going into the second half of the season. At the halfway point, Danny Rose (with honourable mentions to Hugo Jan) would be my player of the season which tells you everything about how the other 10 have played overall.

I think we have enough to beat Chelsea on Wednesday - lets hope a wondergoal doesn't ruin what should be a great game.

Having a fresh Kyle and Jan should be huge..

Mathkev completely and utterly off in his reading of this thread.

I know Walker is England's number one right back, but does Trippier have no chance of keeping the place after yesterday's performance?
01-02-2017 , 05:20 AM
Nope. None.

He is nowhere near as good as Walker defensively.

However, I can see him being rotated much more if we continue to play 3 at the back. Walker will always get the nod for big games, but as we saw yesterday, against bottom half teams there is really no reason Tripper can't play a bigger role.

Given how good Toby and Jan are as full backs, and how effective Rose and Walker are in getting up and down the flanks, 3 at the back just suits us very well.

Must be pretty disheartening for a player to know that they can come into the team, have a very good game and be straight back on the bench for the next game. Any mutterings that he might want to leave for more first team football?

Off to the Etihad later to complete my festive football triple header. Last time I went was one of my favourite away days after we came back from 2-0 down to take a point. We've never lost there so it'd be nice to maintain that record, although I don't hold much hope.

Whatever happens it's been a great Christmas period anyway.

If he does want to leave, he's certainly not been bleating about it like Wimmer has.

Pretty much zero chance Poch lets him leave this winter, or ever provided Tripper doesn't push for a move. I also think there is a chance oil money moves for Walker (and Rose) this summer, and I think it would be tough for Spurs to find a significantly better replacement than Tripper.

Thought it was just a typo at first, but it seems you think his name really is Tripper
