Lol

BL do great work looking after their own, can't be faulted. It isn't their job to do that, should be sole responsibility of your gov to look after injured soldiers they sent to war.

Should be no need for the massive begging bowl hidden inside the poppy for the oul boys from ww1/ww2.

That'd mean Özil isn't world class tho

Nothing more offensive than a symbol whose meaning has been utterly subverted by and a charity that shouldn't have to exist being taken over by populist point scoring nationalistic bellends for their own ends and tilting the country towards ever stronger right wing fascism.

Makes this last minute save even more impressive. Guy's a beast, he's saved us points on so many occasions. I think due to his dad people underrate him, but he's easily in the top 5 keepers in the PL.

We're not that good, but neither is anyone else.

Otoh, Vertonghen and Lloris have been GOATing.
This is pretty spot on.

Spurs might just finish the season unbeaten..and finish 5th or 6th..

dunno who or what worked you up into this lather but this does not seem to be a reasonable assessment to me

tilting us towards ever stronger right wing fascism. have a word with yourself

RBL is a hugely wasteful charity to be fair and my local is working out the best way to disaffiliate, if you want to give something to a veterans charity there are many, many better options

Several teams look better than they have in a while.

He's improved X10 in the last 1.5years.

I think rating him as average before that was a fair assessment.

One thing people might still overlook is the ball distribution with his feet, which is superb.

Think he'll be back at City before you know it.

Spurs looked and played like the best team in the league vs. Man City. Played just about a perfect game. That was 5 weeks ago, and we haven't won a game since in PL/CL/MMC.

Not sure how fit Hurricane will be for his return Sunday, or if he will even start. It does look like he will play, though..

**langering opportunity**

It's a cast iron certainty that we're going to tear spuds apart on Sunday

I think the problem is that against lesser teams, we only play at maybe 80% of the intensity that we did against City. Given our playing style, it's impossible to play at the intensity we did against City in every game. Dropping our intensity is fine when we had Kane up front, as he's always likely to grab a goal, but w/o him we do look bereft of ideas.

Despite some indifferent results, the only league game we looked in danger of losing was the first half against Plop. I think we'll be very lucky to take anything from The Emirates on Sunday, but at least then we'll be on an international break and we can hopefully get Toby, Kane and Dembele fit for the two other London derbies and CL games in November.

No matter how bad things get, you never go full international break.

Asked specifically about Mkhitaryan in his post-match press conference at Sukru Saracoglu, the boss replied: "He has to do more. It’s as simple as that.

"We have big expectations at this club, lots of players for these positions and he has to play better than Mata, Lingard, Martial – he has to play better than them. It’s as simple as that.

You have this the wrong way round. Nationalism is on the rise in the UK but it's not because of poppies. It's for the same reason that Nationalism is on the rise all over the world - because since the financial crisis, people perceive that the pie they're eating from isn't as big as they thought so they're more sensitive to outsiders potentially having a nibble. It's fertile ground for nationalistic rhetoric. It's stupid and illogical but so are a lot of people.

This is my conclusion also. I think you guys also struggle to control the tempo of games sometimes and rely too heavily on high pressing to create your chances which is physically taxing.

I actually would be slightly concerned playing you lot as our style much like city's can play into your hands. As your pressing can be more effective than against the lesser teams who hump the ball long.

Quiz question: Who made the most appearances for Leicester in the 2015-16 season (all competitive matches included)?

Fair comment - I was thinking more about performances than results. Plop were the only team to take the game to us.

That notwithstanding, Bournemouth and Lester only managed one shot on target each.
