Watching MOTD now. Props to Lineker for semi-honoring his promise and doing the open in nothing but Leicester shorts

week 1 report: telling your gf to call you zlatan is not advisable. still gonna insist on it. she calls him "the guy who does everything with his backheel" but that's a little too wordy.

Spurs fans, what is the dealio with the Head of Recruitment's surprise resignation last week? Is this really going to hurt the team bad like I have read around the internets?

Who was the head of recruitment? Was he the person we signed from Southampton?
08-16-2016 , 01:36 PM
6 points from next 4 (burnley (a), spuds (a), leicester (h), chelsea (a)) and plop boom will maintain a strong position; anything greater and it will be in overdrive; < 6 and difficulty of early season schedule will be considered. My boom prediction is bust occurs when chelsea (or other) steals title from them at end of season.

Yes, from Soton. Paul Mitchell. Supposedly, this was a huge shock for Poch and Levy.

He was credited for getting Dele, Toby, and others..

David Pleat is generally credited with getting Dele.

Head of Recruitment probably has as much influence at the club as the tea lady or cleaners. Remember when John Carver was a genius? Just blink one good transfer window and you're the biggest thing in scouting since that French guy who wasted all the Bale money... or was he Italian?

The only guarantee of success in the transfer market is to avoid going for anyone Plop are interested in. Other than that everyone knows who the good players are, and i'm not sure any of these recruitment geniuses trawling the leagues for unpolished turds have a significant advantage over Paul the Octopus in predicting future outcomes.
