Haha I've heard numerous times he's really funny, but I just can't see it.

After all, German humour is no laughing matter...

I think I am going to do something stupid and bet on Spurs to win the NLD for the first time since I started gambling. I never bet on Spurs usually, already too emotionally tied up in it.

You make a good point. Stubbing a cigar out in a young lad's face is another thing that the FA don't think is as bad as betting on football matches.

I haven't fallen for anything, just think 18 months is excessive.

Fellaini misses Swansea, Arsenal and Spurs games... ManU's chances for top4 are looking better and better

Seems obvious why betting on a football match is in a different ball park to those other things mentioned.

Do I even have to say why?

*Betting on football matches that his own team was involved in, betting against his own team.

I accept that it's different. If you can explain why it's worse, given that the FA made it clear that there was no suggestion of match fixing, that's be great.

Dortmund have won the Bundesliga twice in the last 5 years and got the CL final a few years back. That said they're pretty close to Schalke and I guess Leverkusen right?

hmmmm

Even without that suggestion, just the act of a footballer betting on his own team is obviously something the FA has to persecute with extreme prejudice.

Always love the spelling mistakes that the muppets behind these "campaigns" make

I don't disagree with that.

Doesn't explain how it's worse than Kung Fu kicking a supporter though.

tottenham is in london and they have millions of non-ghws supporting them around the world. they're also better right now than theyve been in ages. dont they 50,000 people on the season ticket waiting list too?

dortmund sell out easily. maybe spurs draw worse than them, idunno, but honestly just set prices low enough and they'll sell out wembley.

It won't be long into next season before certain Spurs fans start justifying how 'great' they are by quoting stats on the number of times they've played at Wembley.

Anyone watching Newcastle? Did Cardiff have an early goal disallowed?
