I don't really remember him attempting career enders on players, just silly **** like this.

I think Rodgers needs at least 2-3 more years to fully implement his vision. Let's all try to be patient with him, please. Please?

I would be for giving him another 2-3 years certainly.

I'm finding it hard to call anyone but Sunderland to go down but I think we'll see at least one of the promoted sides drop back. I would agree that none of them look terrible but then I think only Sunderland look clearly bad. I'll pick Norwich because I think they have the worse options at CF in the league and it can't be expected the defenders will consistently pick up the slack in terms of goals.

Of the existing teams most tipped, other than Sunderland obv, we'll probably lose one but hard to see which. Schteve will eventually get Toon organised and they'll grind wins. Sherwood still figuring out his best XI, will improve when he gets a grip on it. Mourinho not experience in this situation but think if Chelsea can keep their players fit, they have every chance of staying up.

We are an absolutely tragic set of fans.

Fergie has a new book coming out and some quotes are likely to make the headlines:

Quote:
I asked Pep to phone me before he accepted an offer from another club but he didn't and wound up joining Bayern Munich in July 2013," Ferguson writes in the book, Leading.

Life is such that the best of theories, or the best of intentions, sometimes don’t translate into practice. Believe me, the United board wanted nothing more than to select a manager who would be with the club for a long time.

When we started the process of looking for my replacement, we established that several very desirable candidates were unavailable.

It became apparent that Jose Mourinho had given his word to Roman Abramovich that he would return to Chelsea, and that Carlo Ancelotti would succeed him at Real Madrid.

We also knew that Jürgen Klopp was happy at Borussia Dortmund and would be signing a new contract. Meantime, Louis van Gaal had undertaken to lead the Dutch attempt to win the 2014 World Cup.

I’m sure there are things that David would do differently if he had the opportunity to relive his time at Old Trafford, Ferguson explains. Such as keeping Mick Phelan [Ferguson’s assistant], who would have been the invaluable guide to the many layers of the club that Ryan Giggs is to Louis van Gaal today.

There is no point suddenly changing routines that players are comfortable with. It is counterproductive, saps morale and immediately provokes players to question the new man’s motives. A leader who arrives in a new setting, or inherits a big role, needs to curb the impulse to display his manhood.

Don't think any of the promoted sides are going down. All very solid. Villa missing some creativity, but once gueye and traore are back healthy they'll be fine.

I'm not yet convinced by the promoted sides. Can't see any of them staying out of the fray entirely and I'd be surprised if one of them didn't face the drop. None are DOA though which is nice for entertainment value.

I'm struggling to work out who Newcastle spent 60m on? Their squad looks terrible.

Toon, Sunderland and Bournemouth to go down I think

This is the thing. I can find a justification for every team bar Sunderland staying up. You're more down on Newcastle than I am but you still only have 2 of 3 spots accounted for. It's so open that Betfair only has Sunderland as more likely than not to go down. I'm choosing Norwich to go down only because I'm forcing myself to pick 3 teams. I'm looking at a bunch of teams which have (give or take) 30% equity to go down and taking Norwich as marginally more likely than other candidates. Definitely not making a strong statement.

Kroenke is taking out three million quid from Arsenal, which is really a pittance of the 208 million quid cash balance at the club...

Leave our warchest alone!

It's painful watching Villa again. I really thought at least Tim would change that. Not wanting him to go or anything just hope that the turn around vs Leicester isn't what I'll look back on in May as a pivotal moment in our relegation!

I wonder how upset Arsenal fans would be if their new manager did a Van Gaal or Rodgers and spunked the lot on mediocrity.

Mou on Costa

He played like he has to play - that is why you have full stadiums and sell TV rights round the world for millions and millions. The game has to be played like that. He was the man of the match for me.
