this is the prototypical english game

FA-Cup replay
Gritty underdog holding off the huge favourites
terrible football
someone is bleeding every 10 minutes

That has to be one of the worst back passes I've ever seen. He didn't even look up once!

It will continue to tilt me this whole spring that we signed a DM and no CM. I'm still hoping Elneny is decent offensively though. How does it seem?

Is Monreal playing as CB or Chambers?

Who cares if Elneny is offensive? We literally needed someone to sit in and actually play in mf. With Ramsey and Coquelin arsenal were often playing a 4-1-4-1 or some variation of. Legitimately had no mf and we were getting outplayed by mid table teams because of it.

He's been great compared to Ramsey in that role.

Impressed with Elneny, getting on the ball a lot and looking neat and tidy, its hull I know but still a plus. Overall we've been poor with Walcott looking pure aids again

Well I mean I was hoping that we can sign someone of real quality who can play both directions really well. It's quite negative if we have two DMs essentially. We need someone like Thiago Motta or whoever. It's called DLP.

Absolutely agree with this and is something I've been raving about since Cazorla got injured. He's looking good tonight again but more importantly he impressed me greatly against spuds in a pressure cooker game.

This was what I was asking, like it might be that Elneny can play quite well offensively too, when needed. That would be great.

Always nice when over 2.5 comes in after 22 mins

It's not negative having two dms when you are playing Sanchez, Giroud, theo, ozil and another offensive player. Having 5 attacking players isn't positive, it's suicidal.

Oh nice, all 3 of our cbs are now injured. That's cool.

Welcome to our world - it's no fun having no CBs fit

Good thing that we got another FA cup where Monreal-Chambers can start the game. Hope neither injuries are serious (didnt see what happened to BFG)

nice dive from giroud

Merte was just bleeding like a pig directly above his eye, tried to play on for a few minutes but it didn't work. Shouldn't affect his ability to play the next game as football doesn't take concussions seriously.
