Not luck, it was the Everton connection that brought fellainis assist via the crossbar to Rooneys feet

Majesterial pass by Campbell

people way overstating how dominant Liverpool were in that match

De Gea saves that Can shot 9 out of 10

no one is going to score a 20 yard header with no pace on the ball to work with

etc

maybe a couple of decent chances

19 shots, 4 on target, 3 of them from outside the box and 1 from a strong angle inside the box

god i hate walters so much

i am like a broken record, but he is beyond dire. i have never seen a player so incapable of picking up his head. he literally can't dribble even one touch without his eyes on the ball.

keep this up and we should win comfortably enough

still in the 57th minute of watching pool/man u (dvr'd it last night knowing 9am wasn't gonna happen for me this morning) and I have probably a noob question but I'm gonna ask it anyway...

this Fellaini character...like, every game i watch he's so easy to pick out in a crowd I find myself zoning in on him and I'm sitting here wondering how good he is.

if there are 20 central midfielders in EPL, is he #1/20 at that position? if not, where is he?

if all 20 teams redrafted the entire league, what round does he go in?

generally I find these trivial questions about soccer myself but in this case I wouldn't know where to look.

I tend to think he's pretty ****ing good, but a) other than strikers/keepers it's hard for me to eyetest players bc I didn't grow up with soccer, b) he's tall and gangly which makes it easier to focus on him, which makes it easier to see him putting in work, and c) what the **** do I know?

also, same question for de gea...he's the best keeper in EPL right? in the world? he has no business saving some of these shots on goal...

It is incredible. He will inspire a generation of **** younger footballers that they can make it as a professional.

fellaini is really good and would be very useful for most teams but doesnt really have the skill set to be a first team regular at a club which is trying to compete for best in the world. doesnt have a great touch, passing isnt great, loses possession too often. but hes very strong and tall and a great target man for a team that doesnt mind losing the possession battle. a beast on set pieces.

would be a standout player on a typical mid table team (eg liverpool)

It's kind of an odd framework as there are way more than 20 CMs in the league, but he's probably in the top 20, somewhere in the teens I guess.

With regards to the draft, with every team needing a 25 man squad, I guess he'd go in the first 2 or 3 rounds.

DDG probably the best, Courtois and Lloris fantastic too, not much between those three.

As a CM Fellaini is barely sunday league level. As an AM/targetman hybrid he is quite useful in the right system.

his skillset is so unique that it's really dependant on how he's going to be used so this one is really hard to answer. if you redrafted the entire league about 3-4 years ago when he was at everton he'd go in the 2nd/3rd round but ever since he joined Man Utd, they've been really bad and he looks like a fool most times out there. People get carried away with all the Man Utd hate but in a vacuum he can be a really useful player but you won't see him to his advantage much these days

is it an international no cards in the first half day or WTF IS THIS ****?
01-17-2016 , 12:59 PM
Felliani would actually beast at a club lower down the league imo, somewhere like Chelsea would be a good fit.
