What's wrong with putting your head down and your laces through it? Worked pretty well for Giroud.

The saddest part about today was the first 60 minutes was probably our best of the season.

Looks like I picked a good day to go to a lolstripclub for the first time!
Of all games this season in the league, that was by far the most we were dominated by any team, and we won. We could have got something out of every game we lost or drew this season with some luck or if a ball had bounced differently. LOL variance?

PS I have been to a strip club only twice ever, I hated it both times. Just not enjoyable at all.

Apparently he was really good over the international break but I didn't see those games. He was great in the WC as well so you can't write him off, but I think there's always a chance he has a huge drop off with the number of injuries his body has suffered and his age.

female's idea? well that escalated quickly

RVP was not great during the WC I watched.

Serious review of the game:

LVG's decision to go to 3-5-2 was nothing to do with the defence; we had the personnel to play a back 4; he wanted to set up on the counter and bring Di Maria into a central role with the ability to drift to the wings rather than the other way round which saw him struggle for the previous 3 games.

We had the shakiest of all shaky starts. Blackett hasn't stepped foot into a competitive football game since September and his nervous distribution was a problem. McNair was better but also nervy, De Gea's distribution was abysmal and kept putting is back under pressure. As I indicated before the game the saving grace was Smalling, who was our best performer in the 3-5-2 when we were playing it at the start of the season. The Man City aberration aside he has been absolutely excellent as of late and despite the lazy casualfan criticism is starting to make strides.

We settled down after 20 minutes and although it suits Wenger and Arsenal fans to paint the entire game as a pummelling it really wasn't. We were the stronger team leading into half time, and Fellaini/Carrick got a real foothold into the game. The front 3 struggled to make an impact though.

Arsenal should have been reduced to 10 men and ran incredibly for Dean to basically ignore an obvious red. This would have changed the game obv.

Credit has to go to Young who was really good at LWB (much better than when he was playing at the start of the season in this position). This was his first game in months.

After we got the breakthrough (which was clearly onside, laughable that anyone would argue against that if they've seen the replay) we controlled the game, allowing Arsenal onto us but they never really carved anything clear cut. We were a constant threat on the break, were denied one clearcut opportunity from a frankly brown envelope level offside decision.
Eventually we got the inevitable 2nd, and Di Maria cost us a befitting 3-0 margin.

Cliffs: lolarsenal, good defensive performance for 65+mins with two centre backs that hadn't played a competitive first team game before this season.

Fellaini is looking like a £25m+ midfielder at the moment, Carrick was Carrick, love the man, De Gea the supreme shot-stopper.

Yeah this. It frees Mata as well if Rooney plays #9

I don't think what Wilshere did was a headbutt, but I'm on record having said that the macho forehead to forehead bull**** is the dumbest thing in all of sports. Most of the time they're trying to do that dumb macho **** and get forehead to forehead and ldo one has to lean in and the other feigns like they've been shot. This is still largely construed as a red card, but it's not really violent conduct or serious foul play, it's just pure idiocy and testosterone.
11-22-2014 , 05:26 PM
You didn't have to type all of that. You could have just said

It was a Red.

We really have good matchups this game, but it's still one where if Fergie was in we'd lose 3-1 by being relentlessly countered I feel.

Let's see how lolvg prepares

I'm always confident against Arsenal because of their abysmal record, Moyes got 4pts vs them.

McNair is the unknown quantity in this system but he's been really good so far in big pressure situations with unfamiliar central partners.

Really, really excited to see Valencia and Shaw as tandem wing-backs and Di Maria back in a central role.

3-1 United.

Balotelli is at the boxing tonight.

RvP had 12 touches that game.

1 inside the box.

According to MOTD.

Very impressive. Shoved out wide right and forced to defend but he really was pretty bad that game.

Not all his fault obviously. Number of touches of a player is much a reflection of the team performance as the player at times. I am not defending him or saying he played well, quite the opposite, but I continually saw him in decent positions and no one was interested in passing to him.

2 years ago he plays at the same level as now and he still gets 2-3 chances per game.

Complete luck box smash and grab for united. Should have been 2-0 by half and they got completely dominated for the majority of the game. Utd still wont make top 4.

Hats off to de gea though single handidly got saved them 10 pts prob.

Play that game 1000 times over arsenal win 80%+ as played and most arent even close.
11-22-2014 , 06:57 PM

Who is going to stop us at this point? I mean its far from guaranteed but at this point 4th looks really strong odds on for United.

Bookies think its 66%.
11-22-2014 , 07:01 PM
I mean I already proposed bets and had 0 takers for utd to not make top 6 or top 4 at market odds.

Ill look when the game week finishes see what they update to.
