Who uses the word 'ignominious'? I'd have Di Maria at #1 too, but so sick when you think about how far he is from other #1s from the EPL, such as Ronaldo, Suarez or Bale.

Was just thinking about this, somewhere in the top~8 with Agüero, Silva, Hazard, Ozil, Sanchez, Toure, Fabregas?

The Leeds manager is another Steve Keane in the making.

I'm not convinced there's much between these two personally, both bring important attributes to a team in different ways.

Top six is some order of Cesc, Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Di Maria, and Hazard for me.

1. Cesc is the most obv of the bunch.

reserving judgement on di Maria until I see what he can do on a december evening in Stoke

Ozil and Sanchez would be my next two picks as well. I think you've gotten it right.

ADM breaking the British transfer record, guess it makes sense, but seems weird at the same time, if that makes any sense. kinda doesn't though.

To early to wrtite off Ivanoivch, if he keeps up his form from the first two games, will be the best player in the league.

TBLITW is not easy to adapt to in their first season though.

Arsenal have almost everyone in the top-6 most handsome for sure.

not much in Bale/Di Maria imo (seems clear Madrid would be better with Di Maria than Bale just right now. lucky for United that Di Maria isn't pretty enough to sell jerseys)

also, re: overall discussion, seems way early to talk about Sanchez as up there with Silva/Hazard/Fabregas. Yaya looked sluggish and disinterested for large parts of yesterday's game, so he'd better get back on his scorepoint bike quickly.

fwiw the actual best player in the league is healthy Aguero and it's not close, shame that only happens around 20 matches a season

Di Maria def belongs to the top tier for sure.

PS : my top tier doesn't include Ozil

Gillingham's ex-Sunderland defender John Egan turns in Gabriel Obertan's cross as the Premier League visitors take the lead.
