Googled the phone...I think something like that is mandatory for someone who doesn't eat meat

Also guess who's back for Sunday...

It's a bit of both. Not being good enough in some cases and just resting most of your best players in others - think Villa rested a bunch of players in 08 or 09 with faint hopes of a CL spot at the time. Money rules I guess so it's kind of **** that it's like this. I quite enjoyed winning the Europa league in 2013 but different situation where a stronger squad can afford to rest players and still be better than the competition.

As I'm an oldie I need a wee bit of advice from the lads.....,.

Have tickets booked for a Calvin Harris show/pool party in Vegas that includes 'bottle service'.

I think about 35/40 lads booked in for this and we'll be spending min 5k just for starters....wtf can I expect for my money?

Marty, A LOT of Vodka. I'm not a Vegas vet or a club guy, but I do know that Grey Goose basically is king when it comes to bottle service liquor

Preferential treatment for purchasers of bottle service may include stopping the regular dance music when an especially expensive bottle is purchased and, instead, playing a theme song.
well worth it imo

Only vodka?

I like the thoughts of them playing a theme song for us when we splash out....would obv choose the King and Viva Las Vegas.

That ended in January when O'Neill signed Heskey rather than Bent. O'Neill only rested players because he had played the same 11 throughout the season near enough, and around came March where he couldn't get a result whatsoever.

Not sure if serious.

the obvious theme song is the Benny Hill music. You then proceed to chase all the female staff around the room.

lol 'we finished above spurs, big ****ing deal. We may as well finish above West Ham'

Whislt some players use their agents to talk to the press, Falcao keeps it real by using his mum instead.

Just reading that if Barca win the champs league, Arsenal get an extra 4m euros as a bonus for the Vermaelen transfer, we sure have done well out of Barca on some questionable players over the years

Which player's would you say were questionable?

Overmars £25m - over paid but was class
Petit £7m - standard
Van Bronckhorst €2m - made over 100 appearances for Barca
Henry £16m
Hleb £12m - LOL
Song £15m - was a beast in his final season at Arse and well worth £15m
Fabregas £31m - made our money back selling him to Chelsea
Vermaelen £15m -
05-14-2015 , 06:14 AM
Definitely Overmars, Hleb, Song, and Vermaelen. iirc, didn't Henry not have long on his contact, was getting old, and injury prone by that point?
05-14-2015 , 06:34 AM
Song was well worth the £15m in his last season at arse he scored one goal and made 11 assists from DCM. As well as 4th most successful tackles for a midfielder and most interceptions.
05-14-2015 , 06:40 AM
Worth noting that the 'D' in 'DCM' was often missing in his play though, which made him a poor purchase for Barca

4th most tackles for a midfielder in the league and most interceptions states otherwise as well as most completed passes in the arsenal squad that season.

STATS

Song consistently miles out of position, often didn't even bother to track back (especially after giving the ball away himself).

The problem wasn't that he was incapable of good defensive play, it was that he often didn't give a **** and wouldn't bother to try.

Thus, not defensively solid/disciplined enough to play 'DCM' for Barca and nowhere near good enough offensively to play further forward in midfield.

A few Hollywood assists to Persie doesn't change the fact that Song was one of the most frustrating players I've ever seen in an Arsenal shirt.

Talented, but zero brains.
05-14-2015 , 07:20 AM
You're both as bitter like Wenger! If you had Song this season instead of Flamini you may have won the league!

My point was 15m was a good deal.

That summer Joe Allen cost 19m, Jack Rodwell 15m and Xavi Garcia 20m
