Seems obvious to me that this officer is just a douche. He clearly is not drunk or stoned in the slightest, and doing his best to keep his cool while this assbag tries to make him look like a fool.

OP neglects to mention he was passed out in his car in a driving lane with the engine running.

The suspicion was not alcohol, but drugs. I agree he looks just fine in the video which is what makes this so baffling, but OP is not giving the full story.

Also he said he was coming from practice and going to the airport but the airport is right by the practice facility and he was a good 15-20 mins away.

really no way to tell from that distance if he is under the influence of something like cocaine. can't see his eyes and can't hear what he's saying. officer does indeed sound like kind of a douche, but we really have nothing to go on here.

he'll beat the charge if this is all they have on him

Every time I've done cocaine, I haven't been able to sleep for about 6 hours after taking my last line, and even then it's hard. It's not like 15 minutes after you're done your brain shuts down and you fall asleep.

Not all people react to each drug in the exact same way.

So one person's experience with a drug shouldn't be taken as the only way one reacts to something.

One personal example is my reaction to something as simple as beer which is roughly the opposite of most people I know.
