Im not gonna argue that eli didnt play his best season to date this year. But imagine if one if not both of those 2 passes he threw that would have been intercepted were actually intercpeted if the 2 49ers had not of ran into each other, and the giants went on to lose.

Would people still have the same opinion of eli as they do now.

Let me take one more look at the (revised) QB list and explain why I'm not as hard on Eli as it seems.

Everyone from 14-23 is legitimately in the same tier. It's actually a really small difference from top to bottom. The difference between Cam at #3 and Stafford at #4 >> the difference between Flacco at #14 and Eli at #23. Pretty much everyone in that tier is in the "average" category, and for any individual team, it will be more about their needs and the fit which QB they want among that tier than their placement on the list. If you're a "win now" team, you'd probably take Eli over everyone in that tier except for Peyton. I'm just saying that if I'm building a team from scratch, I think there's a tiny bit more Super Bowl equity in taking one of the prospects and then starting over in a few years if they don't pan out, rather than taking a good but not great QB who's already in his 30s where you know his ceiling.

As we have seen for years with the Ravens and Steelers, having an impact safety can take a good defense to an elite level.

Kam Chancellor - SS

Kam Chancellor is a sophomore who is already proving he has the capabilities to be an elite Strong Safety. Dude is big for a safety at 6'3 230 lbs, he can cover good ground and seems to have the skills to do it all. He was relied on a lot for Seattle, making almost 100 tackles this season. AdvancedNFL had him as their highest rated safety this season in WPA and EPA/Game by 20% over their second rated safety.

He's 24 years old, has already made big improvements in his first year as a full-time starter. He has room to improve, but can also make a great positive impact on my team this year, as we're trying to win now.

I now have a dominant NT, the game's best edge rusher and ILB, a top 5 CB, and a big tough dude playing SS.

Much rather have grabbed the next best CB rather than a safety for Zimmer's team.

I actually like Flynn relatively speaking, relative to his draft status and career to date, I suppose. But I just don't think his ceiling is that high. I think as an every-day starter you'd be looking at an Andy Dalton type if it all works out. He can run an offense capably, but you can't build anything around him.

Also, I'd be willing to trade up if someone in the upcoming wants to stall for time.
