It's a bad pick because most people are going to jam QBs and other positions before WR. Also, teams don't need super-elite or even very good WRs to have super-elite passing games, see Undrafted, yet blatantly alluded to itt, QB.

i didn't really plan because i figured no one would let it happen in the first round..esp top 5

original thought would be just let him keep skipping, and if it gets to like 15 or so without hearing from him just replace him. whoever replaces him can pick then, and he would stay in the 5th slot

sound fair?

edit- he's also going to be on a shorter time window from now on

I would switch spots with him if it were allowed, not sure what the commish wants to do

I agree that we can't just skip him(too big of a penalty to be skipped so early)...either replace him or move him to #25 imo

i feel like moving to 25 might not be that big of a punishment. 25 might be a good spot in this draft.

that'd be fine...what would be unfair is to just skip him and then give him the normal picks that go with pick #5....I mean maybe he deserves it for getting skipped in the first ****ing round, but if someone else takes over for him then we definitely can't penalize him that much

Brady's a good pick in that I would have taken him over Brees or CJ, but I don't think he was the BPA. Don't wanna hint too much at undrafteds even though everyone knows who I would have taken ahead of him, but at 34, you've probably only got a 3 or 4 year window to win championships with him, and I think you have to go younger if there's another elite talent to build around.
