Australia gooone. Been an amazing run for them, 3 world cups in a row. It was always going to be a struggle for them this time around having the weakest team they have had at a world cup for as long as I can remember (worse than their 1992 team imo).

India's world cup to lose now, not sure if the host has ever won the world cup (Sri Lanka were sub-hosts when they won theirs).

No team hosting the final has even won, it's really not that important a statistic since England has hosted thrice

It looks like the IND-PAK match will be at Mohali, which only has a capacity of 30,000. Isn't that a bit small for a semi-final ground?
