At a certain point, skill can't make up for size and length, especially when the skilled side isn't known for having power. Who knows if Conor is at the point though.

Left handedness is a thing as well.

Conor being white is probably something, as there are probably some extra ethnic pride dollars going in on Conor.

Finally, not many want to lay 400+ to win 100.

Conor's next move will be whatever makes him the most money. Simple as that. Whether that's boxing Paulie, fighting Khabib(doubt it) , making movies, or whatever else.

And why would books care to balance by moving the line lower on Floyd? Just take way the best of it rather than open yourself up to high roller Mayweather action that you think is likely +++++EV.

of course it doesnt. But the books still stand to lose massively if Conor wins and win massively if Floyd wins. Every single book wants to be on Floyd, but they don't want a Conor win to wipe out a whole year's worth of profits on everything else.

Yeah the books are happy to have a big bet on Floyd but at some point they're going to be uncomfortable with the amount they're betting on Floyd and will want to lay some off. And then it's a game of chicken, if other books move their line to get more bets on Floyd and one book doesn't they become the book everyone will bet on Connor and no one will bet on Floyd. So they kind of have to move the line once other books do unless they're willing to yolo it up.

I just can't really get my head around to the books offering an awful line that they know will open themselves up to taking massive volume that is +EV for the player in Floyd at -400.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what will happen the final week as people descend upon vegas? I'm sure CM fans will outnumber Floyd fans like 9-1 and many of them will likely throw a sweat bet on CM. Could the line go even lower?

Or will a ton of final week big $ come in on Floyd?

I might understand people from the USA, but why would you bet a lot of money on Floyd @ 1.25, knowing there is a non-zero probability the fight is rigged, Conor might get lucky and the football season just started? You have 10 months on football every weekend, you can get way better odds betting on 3-4 matches that will end 5-0 for the favorites throughout the whole season. You can get 1.60 on Barca and RM to beat Betis and Depor this weekend.
