Michigan's result at Iowa is better than those.
Ohio St beating Sparty is better than Michigan losing to Iowa?

They're comparable. Everyone overrates the importance of close road losses for 1/2 loss teams. And overrates the quality of close wins.

I see what you're saying, but I fall a little closer to hermedwards.gif personally.
12-01-2016 , 11:42 PM
Yeah, close but no cigar definitely only relevant for teams with two losses or fewer.

But it's hard to underrate a loss to Iowa, anywhere.

The best way to mitigate the possibility of this happening is don't date the most superficial and shallow creature ever created in the history of the universe: American white women.

By all means, use a smaller sample size. But yeah, not exactly covering himself in glory tonight. Still >>>>>>>>>> Watson as a college player this year.

Wash joins Bama and tOSU as locks. Clemson wins and gets last spot, Clem loses and Big gets 2
12-03-2016 , 01:52 AM
Seeding will be interesting to me. I'd like to see Alabama and tOSU on opposite sides of the bracket. I believe those are the 2 best teams, certainly the 2 that will bring the highest ratings to a final, and Bama would get to avenge their 2014 semifinal loss and look to go B2B while OSU would also be looking to become the 1st team to win the CFP twice.

Yeah, I think it really is this simple now.

It's also a lock that Bama/tOSU are seeded 1/2...beating Va Tech won't bump Clemson from 3 to 2

Works out great because either way the championship is Bama getting revenge on tOSU or Clemson getting to rematch Bama

Of course, this assumes Bama wins tomorrow; if they lose to Florida it's possible they lose the top spot, but they prolly still don't, or would just flip spots with tOSU in worst case scenario

If if OSU gets bumped to 3, nothing changes except for uniform color.

Why?

What does OK State have over tOSU to overcome them being 10-2 while tOSU is 11-1?

Both teams will have beaten Oklahoma

Oklahoma state lost to 6-6 Central Michigan and 6-5 Baylor (maybe 6-6 after today)...who is their best win after Oklahoma? Pitt? West Virginia? TCU?

Oklahoma State is after tOSU, B1G winner and Michigan

#10 beating #9 does not vault them from 10 to 4th especially when they said 4-7 were close, not 4-10 are close

Yeah that is an awful take. Okie Lite is a good two or three tiers down.

-No good wins. Best win to date is at home vs. Pitt or WVU?

-Two awful losses vs. CMU and @ Baylor.

-Four wins by 7 or fewer points.

-12 point underdog to OU today shows that they don't belong from a power rating perspective.

one of those OKSt losses was bogus. Not in the crybaby Michigan sense, in the real, legit sense.
12-03-2016 , 02:27 PM
Where do you all have the competitors rated using point spreads on a neutral field?

Bama/UW/Clemson/tOSU/UM/Wisky/PSU

QB? GB?

Ok lets say the hail mary doesn't happen.

A three point win at home against a 6-6 CMU team that Sagarin has ranked 102nd in the country isn't exactly a feather in their cap.

They legit should only have one loss. The CMU game was bogus.

Assuming a win today: wins over OU, WVU, Pitt

And unlike OSU they actually finished the season strong and won their conference.
