ya but osu had their worst qb starting too. osu is getting a ton of talent back next year and hopefully they adjust to a more explosive offense with a guy who can actually pass.

You're over bro. Deep down you know it. You had a great run. Anyways, I don't have time for chit chat with yesterday's empires. Gotta get to the store and stock up on some shea butter conditioner. I want my hair to look as good as the future.

Denial is stage 1, so I guess this all checks out

I mean, mich certainly has a chance to win, but this osu team has a lot more talent. I do think that urbz is almost coopesque in his ability to get the most out of his talent and win big games.

Yeah hi guys!

So this early national signing day is today. Is this a new thing? Why the **** is this in the middle of bowl season? I’m so confused. Is it exactly what I think it is? Just a new period where croots can sign early if they want? Someone explain this to me because I’m a lol old and can’t keep up with this **** anymore.

Also, Maryland landed a five star recruit... from 2015. Former five star no. 1 overall player DE Byron Cowart is transferring to Maryland. He never really panned out at Auburn. He showed flashes but got beat out by less recruited freshman who were just lining up to beat out this guy. Literally we had freshman coming in who were like this, this is the no 1 overall player?

I had you pegged at 33, so, not old.

Anyway. Yes this is new. It’s not necessarily an every year thing. Some like it. Some don’t as much such as Lord Saban. I kinda like it. It’s estimated 50-75% of players will sign this week.

Florida got Emory Jones. Pretty huge get for Dan Mullen and hopefully he works his magic on him

UGA probably going to get 6 of the top 20 on rivals. Kirby is ridiculous

Yes if we pull Cade Mays. For context Rivals has 26 5-stars.

Got him. Sick.

Sounds like Herm is already burned out on recruiting...

12-20-2017 , 05:27 PM
Has Herm Edwards actually got anyone decent to commit to asu since he’s been there?

Some writer needs to pull up a chair inside the ASU locker room over the next year and write a book, I bet it would be hilarious

The hardest part for the coaches and HS players is that the good programs really don't know how many roster spots they have and at which position? I don't really get why they needed this change.

Can recruits now sign up on any day between now and February whatever? Or is this just a one day thing ?

The early period is Wednesday-friday, Dec 20-22nd.

On this first go around it appears to have helped the lesser schools slightly at the expense of the elites. Quite a few kids signed with lesser programs instead of holding out for that dream offer.

We will see if that remains true going forward once the kids that are on the cusp of fitting into a USC or OSU class realize that Arizona or Minnesota are going to hold their spot no matter what.

this is my understanding of the benefits of the early period...it benefits the 2nd or 3rd tier schools more than tier 1. the schools that rely upon picking up the scraps dropped by the big boys are better off knowing where they stand as early as possible. i believe it also helps reduce greyshirting to some degree.

It really hurts the top teams with players that have to wait to see their NFL grade before declaring for the draft. There are good strong HS players that have to sit a wait, or commit to a lessor school, before the top schools know how many roster slots they have - and by position.....

I’ve been informed that Arkansas has signed a LB named Bumper Pool and I am an obvious fan of this turn of events

Auburn got Bo Jackson’s nephew. Sorry guys, it’s over for the sec. We are about ready to dominate like it’s 1983

kids havent even declared for the nfl draft yet right? so a lot of big schools dont even know if they have the scholarships to offer.

seems to def help the mid tier big schools. like the middle of the pack of the big conferences. iowa, miss st, missouri, baylor, ok st, washington, cal.
