you have to be joking now. I thought the general consensus about Cech's major weakness was his penalty stopping.

Seriously, how is 0-0 not a great result considering:

- Barca had only been held scoreless once all year (first league game)
- Barca had not been held scoreless at home all year
- Barca is the probably the better team
- Opening up and trading chances is terrible idea considering the teams (pretty bad idea with any team going in there)

Somebody please post a list of teams who have won at the Camp Nou in the last few years. Sure you want to score goals and win games, but sometimes you have to be practical and pick your battles. Chelsea came within minutes of executing the perfect strategy, which was to beat them in their home. They came up just short, best of luck in the finals.

And why are there so many tards and trolls in these football threads?

To be honest it nothing personal, just seems weak coming in saying "i told you so" when if you saw the games you would realise barca were lucky and chelase got f by luck and the ref.
Saying that i hate chelsea and hope ballack and drogba gets banned for bringing donw the E.P.L

yeah both them should, you see the barc coach when they were 1-0 down, hugging hiddick showing some class then that happens it a disgrace to the game.

Wow. A football match ending in a 1-1 draw. You really went out on a limb there. Congratulations. You are the first person ever to pick this score line on a European night. We get it, you picked it, you da man.

yes they did - they held them scoreless (with only 1 or 2 very good chances to score for barca) which is remarkable if you look at barcas results at Camp Nou this season.

because it wasnt expectable that chelsea could do that great of a job defending again (looking at Chelseas 4-4 (Liverpool) and Barcas 6-2(RM) & 4-0(Bayern) probably also influenced the odds )

I am still surprised at the short sited lol/H8 for Chelsea instead of what should be universal condemnation of the refereeing.

The Ref should have awarded at least 2 penalties for Chelsea with a third being highly debatable weighted in Chelsea's favour. The hand ball was absolute nailed on stone cold 100% Penalty.

The Red card was ridiculous.

At this level the officiating should be nearly flawless not a parade or terrible match changing errors.

We all lose from this, it spoils games, and who knows when officiating this bad is going to come to your team and feck you.

Also anyone giving hate to Ballack is just being an ignorant finger pointer. If your team had suffered such a series of blatant injustices in such a massive game, you too would back the player who finaly snapped and tried to tell the Ref exactly how he felt. The ref deserved it 2000000000000000%.

As for Drogba, well as a camera man said on a phone in, he often catches players reacting badly after a game, and swearing etc, its just that it is edited out or not shown. Also we have to accept that what he said was absolutely true, it was a disgrace, with the Ref giving the game to Barca who for all there fancy flattery to deceive only managed one shot on goal, with all the best chances over the two legs falling to Chelsea.

Its also typical that the snot dribbling short sited hate mongers are of course missing out on the fact that JT went into the Barca dressing room and congratulated Barca on their win.

Everyone accept Barca lost that football match, and in many ways they did to.
