Yes, because it never happens in gridiron football that a team dominates time of possession and yardage but finds itself behind or tied. And baseball teams never get a ton of men on base without scoring, only to have an error or one misplaced pitch lead to a loss.

Wow, way behind on this, bad time to grunch reply.

Essien cant handle Ronaldo, plus Carrick & Scholes are leaving big gaps to exploit.

scholes will be coming off soon IMO. Either giggs or anderson will come on

They should stop playing every 5 mins for ads, and soccer would be more popular in USA.

These 4-5 minutes are really Chelsea at their best.

No it's not pretty but it's effective. Lots of power and 3-4 direct passes, witout any risk unlike the possession game, creating decent chances.

Jesus Makelele has to stop playing stupid.

That could have been another yellow and game over for your team.

edit: first yellow was bogus though and Michel IS a horrible ref

ok i am (obv) a european football moran so cut me some slack here.

i thought this was the champions league which was the winners of all the different euro leagues getting together for a tournament to determine the grand club champion of them all. how did two EPL teams qualify for the tournament?

game started a bit slow but has been pretty compelling since imo.

it didnt' seem like a swung elbow. hargreaves is riding on his back, sometimes when your head is behind someone's arm, you get hit with it.

The number of places in the competition depends on the association's rank in the UEFA coefficients table:

* associations ranked 1 to 3 have four positions,
* associations ranked 4 to 6 have three positions,
* associations ranked 7 to 15 have two positions,
* associations ranked 16 or lower have one position.

Biggest leagues get 4 clubs in. CL has evolved from the original idea quite a bit.

Yeah he just has be to incredible careful.

He is also in the ref's face after a lot of the fouls and even involved in the scuffles.
