KG was dirt poor growing up. I remember seeing pieces about him and his sister. How they could barely get enough groceries

Not even an argument, simply fact. Joe Johnson went off for 20 in the 4th quarter on him game 4. Although Doc Rivers should have realized that Ray Allen has no business guarding JJ before the series even started. Thats like putting Powe on Lebron.

Agreed. There's probably been 10+ times this year we've scored a layup within 4 seconds of inbounding the ball on the baseline.

For the love of God Bobbo learn how to use multi quote.

The Celt's D was phenomenal. I'm not sure if it was an anomaly or if they're capable of always doing that -- if it's the latter they're gonna pound the Cavs every game. It seemed like every possession, Cleveland tried to work the ball around but couldn't get anything going, every rotation by the Cs was perfect until the Cavs had to hoist some bad jumper. We did see LBJ get to the hoop more than once during the final minutes so I'm guessing that Cleveland will make some adjustments and get better looks.

Also, KG taking and making 2 big shots down the stretch was impressive. No more second banana status?

I swear Ray Allen used to be really good. Now he's a glorified Kyle Korver!

Big 3 = Big 2.5 imo

I'm really too lazy to get the shooting #'s on Gibson, but here's Wally in the first round:
2/10, 6/9, 3/9, 2/5, 1/6, 8/16
For a total of 22/55 or 40%
Delonte West:
3/10, 1/5, 1/3, 7/12, 4/11, 2/8 For a total of 38%

Cavs shooters suck, they are inconsistent, Celts in 5, wtf @ people picking the Cavs, I REALLY ERLALY REALLY REALLY do not get this and it upsets me greatly-- are all people who pick the cavs cavs homers or what?

Wally, West, Gibson, Illguaskas are all above average outside shooters. Don't feel like looking up stats but I'm sure they back me up. I don't base my opinions on 1 playoff series. If you're a Celts fan you should know Wally and D. West can hit open perimeter shot all night long.

I still say Celts in 6, although 5 would be lovely.

I love Lebron, but yeah to echo what I'm sure has been said in this thread many times, he's not enough.
The only place on the floor Ray Allen is a better shooter is the free throw line.

edit- talking about D Gibson

wow. all gibson can do is catch on the perimeter and shoot. allen is soo much more lethal in so many more situations.

Last night was frustrating, but wait until he gets hot and buries like 5 second half daggers in a big road win.

The one game I went to this year, Allen hit two free throws at the end of the game when the Celts were up big to get his first points of the game.

Paul Pierce went 2-14, Ray went 0-4, yet all you guys talk about is Ray. Paul's shooting was way worse but because he picked up 4 points he's out of the discussion apparently

I can't speak for everyone, but for me it's because Pierce has been a good amount better than Ray Allen this year so he gets more of a pass, and because Pierce was mostly being guarded by Lebron, where as Ray Allen was mostly being guarded by Wally who is ridiculously awful at D which all of us Celtics fans have witnessed.
05-07-2008 , 03:33 PM
Pierce actually managed to get a few assists and played pretty good D all game.

Ray seemingly didn't even exist last night, and Wally got by him on more than 1 occasion. When you can't stay in front of Wally it's time to reassess things.
