After hitting a single in his first at-bat, Greenville pitcher Keith Couch picked him off first after faking a throw a throw to third.
LOL, gotta be embarrassing to get caught by that move.

Meh. 3rd to 1st moves get 18 year olds on occasion - hyper aggressive baserunners looking left heel go right heel back (instead of watching the shoulders with a runner ahead of him on third) can get stupidly picked off by this move.

Harper left the game after getting hit in the knee with a pitch in his first PA yesterday.

2/3 w/ HR #14 so far today though.

As for gehrig's Bryce watch, he entered today's game with the third highest OPS among players named Bryce in the SALLY.

lol, ya, still after his big day he is just 3rd in OPS among Bryce's in the sally league.

he has been hot again, .433 in his last 10 games with 4 HRs.

Is Zimmerman still with Hagerstown? Was cool to see him and Bryce in the same lineup on Sunday before Harper got drilled in 1st

He should get hit in the head by a pitch today. That's awful.

1. He looks like he is losing weight. Maybe the travel and tough eating habits have caused him to drop a couple lbs?

2. Homer sounded awesome, type of sound that would make you look up if you weren't looking.

3. What a dumbass, blowing a kiss at a pitcher, I assume b/c he was hit the day before and not by the pitcher he hit the HR off of...Harper really is a clown.

i've always been a fan of Harper but by god... that was pretty messed up, I agree with everything above.

Harper could end up being more hated than Bonds before he even plays a game in the majors.

Maybe I should of titled this thread "Baseball's Dennis Rodman"

whatever happens, its should be an entertaining ride all the way through.

6'3 225 listed. He looks much bigger in some of his HS video's and JUCO video's...why I said I think he may have lost some lbs - which is normal for 18 year olds with the crappy SALY travel and food and sleep.

That was awesome.

Not as awesome as his current hair/facial hair combo though.

He is an 18yo kid who has pretty much every reason in the world to be the cockiest 18yo in the world.

^LOL

Anyway he looks like dudes who played before he was born. I kinda like the mullet and 'stache. I'm not that outraged at the smooch thing he did. I'm definitely not drilling him in the head next time up because he pursed his lips at me between 3rd and home. People want to focus on stupid innocuous stuff like this instead of what's important which is that he's skull-****ing guys 5 years older than him.

The whole stand and watch your hit for a few seconds, then slow trot, then blow a kiss at the pitcher just says he's very immature and/or a scumbag. Yeah, he's obviously a sick hitter, but he needs to act like a professional who has actually hit a homerun before. I would drill him in the ribs/head/mulletstache today if I was that other team.

A cocky, immature, teenager... imagine that.

Hitting him is fine... but its just another win for him and loss for you.
