not his three, when he drove to the basket and decided to throw it right to 3 gophers .... when he drives he doesnt look to take the difficult layup, he looks to pass and nobody was there

Is there any scenario where the Gophs sneak into the tourney without winning the BTT? Is winning @Mich, home vs Iowa, and winning two games (or even just one) in the BTT as a 5-seed enough?

Of course, most of the blame should be laid at Weber's feet as he as worked his ass off to turn this group of Illini into a 62-60 type team. Just horrible.

I'd say Minnesota needs a couple more quality wins. They'll probably be the 6th seed, so if they can beat the #3 and #2 seed in the BTT then they should be ok, that would give them 22 wins overall and several very good wins to offset the bad losses.

if they had hit that last shot v Purdue, they'd be in good shape with running out the Big Ten regular season

As is, for some reason no one gives them credit. I go by kenpom and sagarin predictor, so I feel like they should be in. (and was able to cash nicely on today's game)

I have no idea what the ******o subjectives will think.

Minnesota can't be that far off the bubble if they can win out. Illinois has a good chance of losing the rest, giving Minnesota the 5 seed. Not sure if I was Minnesota, I might prefer the 6 seed to get an easy win, then play against a potentially winnable game against a 3 seed. If they can win 4 more, I think they are in for sure. If they can win out, win 1 in the Big 10 tourney, they are very close to the bubble. Of course, a lot depends on the other bubble teams.

They probably aren't favorites to make it, but not huge underdogs.

Yeah and whether or not the mid-majors that are already in win their conference tournies obv. And please, I can't play the "what if?" game with these games, we lost to MSU at home after winning the first 38 minutes, we were up 13 with likw 7 left @ NW, blah blah blah. Lotta talent, mediocre results.

Lory we only have 17 wins, so that'd be 21.

according to espn article on mock committee they list kenpom and sagarin as references for use in picking teams. I assume they aren't really used that much.
