Ya he gets happy feet in a hurry, problem is it's Year 3 for Sherman and he still doesn't have an O-Line worth a ****. He recruited some studs this past class but most major football programs don't have these kids playing meaningful minutes until their 3rd year on campus. Jerrod was much better at throwing the ball away last year, this year he just heaves it up and with a weaker shoulder/arm it's just not working.

All the A&M fans are calling for his head and want Tannehill in but I want Jerrod to stick with it because our ceiling is so much higher in 2010 with him at the helm.

He looks awesome for so long and then makes the most mind numbingly dumb mistakes at exactly the wrong times.

Ya like the pick he threw vs. Texas last year. Same thing tonight, we're up 14-0 and about to step on their throats and on 3rd and 2 he throws it right to the DE (I know Luke did a poor job of a cut block) and I thought that drive would have just ended the game. Weeden was getting crushed and going up 17-0 or 21-0 kills the crowd.

I will say I love the kid, he's probably the best representative of A&M you can have, unfortunately he is also a perfect representative of our football program since 1999.

I'll say this. I would trade Fuller, Nlwjhblewachaku, Hicks or Swope for ANY WR/TE on Texas in a heartbeat, cept Mike Davis.

Serious q, not hating, but how did your O get to the point where it has like meh talent at the skill positions?

You could probably write a thesis on this question, but imo:

TE- terrible luck re: injuries Irby and Grant. I also think this position might have more of an effect on all the others or total Offensive output than people see at first glance. When your TE can't catch OR can't block but you still try to keep them on the field bc your OC just gosh darndit still wants that square peg to be round, you end up playing 10 vs 11.

WR- I think it's mental here. Malcolm Williams has all the talent in the world and is about as perfect physical WR as you can have but he can't catch the ****ing football. Chiles is sick athlete too, position change, and just inconsistent. Kirkendoll, just disappears at times.

RB...I think it's a combination of "Mack Brown kids" type recruiting and just failure at talent evaluation. See Chris Whaley and not Christine Michael.

QB- he's still young and I think will be great by the time he leaves.

Also, the cloud over all of this is ridiculous horizontal handcuffed vanilla schemes and game plans by G Davis.(see TE)

You have an epic OL haul coming in this year, one-upped Sherm's 2010 class. Add Malcolm Brown, who is a cant-miss lock, and Cayleb Jones in 2012, and you'll be studding it up in no time. Weak ass WR class in the state this year and you guys aren't going after Ladarius Brown for some reason (thanks).

The skill position talent in the '10 and '11 (and hopefully '12) classes takes a steaming **** on the 2005-09 group. The question is whether or not the coaching will be there on offense to do anything with it.
