lol, Blues aren't a last tier team. A team doesn't make the playoffs 25 years straight by sucking.

Hurricanes also aren't a 2nd tier team if you look at their years as the Whalers.

Are they going to play it in March or make it a preseason game?

I'll most likely investigate about Winter Classic tickets at the very least, not sure if I'll be going though.

Where do you get your information on the modern era dates? He is obviously including the Islander/Oiler teams of the 80s

I'll be shocked if the 2013 WC has tv ratings an order of magnitude lower than the current average just because a Canadian O6 team is in it.

Kings parade on tv out here. Lowest rated series in 5 yrs but devils lack broad appeal, and la came out of nowhere. This is good for the game, huge crowd of folks who love the lakers and r now hockey fans. Huge crowd. Wow. Not to say that there aren't long suffering die hard or even folks that u know loved em with the great one and maybe moved on but this rekindled the flame. big crowd though loud as hell (loud in la man loud). Ummmm jesus christ double decker busses and friggin a million out there.

According to early numbers with no real evidence, over 250k people showed up to the parade. That's quite a lot imo

150k of them were just stuck in traffic imo

Ottawa Senators have brought in the following players for pre-draft workouts and meetings...

- Daniel Altshuller
- Malcolm Subban
- Andrei Vasilevski
- Francois Brassard

I wonder if that means Robin Lehner is available for trade.

Dustin Penner wants to resign with the Kings for a discount. it's weird to say this, but I hope he stays. I spent most of the season cursing him from my seats in Staples, but his playoff surge really endeared me to him. Most of my frustration was from the fact that I knew he was good and underacheiving. I didnt get mad at Hunter or Moreau, because I knew they sucked. He was goin through serious personal **** that probably sandbagged him IMO.

He is well like by teamates, likes being in L.A, has his IRL stuff solved and has given us a glimpse of his potential. Let's resign him for 2.5, give him a second or third line role and cross our fingers he doesnt look like a sloth next year. Maybe he will bang in 20!

Great 360 degree panorama shot of the crowd. I actually found myself in this pic.

yeah well he won't try until the playoffs, like always. if you get there next year...

so there's that to consider. at a discount it's prob a fine signing, depending on how much. i'd get the feeling that if he's said "at a discount", he might mean like $3-4m, bc he'll be able to get paid on the open market.

Will he really get paid much on the open market? I think any contract id give him would be contingent on him losing weight and/or doing plyometrics for explosion. Guy seems so slow.
