Better QB: Stafford, Sanchez, or Freeman? Better QB: Stafford, Sanchez, or Freeman?

11-07-2010 , 10:49 AM
I thought this would be a good thread because these are all interesting prospect and they are all on interesting teams. Right now, Stafford has to be the hardest one to evaluate because he's been hurt much of his career but he obviously has huge upside.

Right now, it appears that Freeman > Stafford >>> Sanchez, but the jury will be out on these guys until their careers are over. Matt Ryan could make this debate really interesting, he is already 25 but he's only one draft class ahead of these guys, and he is a better qb than all 3 so far.

If the league were disbanded tomorrow, and all the players were pooled together and a draft was held, Freeman and Ryan would probably be top ten picks, Stafford would likely go in the late 1st/2nd, and Nacho would be drafted much later imo.

Based on current performance it is Freeman > Stafford > Sanchez.
If Stafford can stay healthy I think it is Stafford > Freeman > Sanchez

i see this ending well...

where does Sam Bradford fit in, by the way?

If you were starting a franchise and you knew all your players were going to stay healthy, then Freeman vs Stafford would be a GREAT debate. Right now it's got to be Freeman because of recent success and durability, but I have no qualms with taking Stafford.

We can include Bradford, it's just harder to evaluate him. I've heard great things about Bradford, but I he was very unimpressive in the only game I saw him play so I'll hold off on him.

What would be a likely top 5/10?

Damn you can only start a pole within 20 minutes of starting the thread, and it's been 21 minutes.

Considering the past...I'm gonna have a very quick trigger finger with this. FWIW making this thread right now is pretty ridiculous after the past couple of days and trying to evaluate these guys when one of them has 437 attempts and none of them have over 600 attempts is pure LOL. Very little positive discussion is possible with tremendously small samples.

All three are below average QBs right now. That basically /thread

Why? That's pretty irrelevant. Not to mention I disagree.
11-07-2010 , 11:20 AM
Ignore the rest of the post, cool. There isn't one person on this board that can honestly take one of these guys over another based off of performance. THEY HAVE LESS THAN 600 ATTEMPTS.

Bill Walsh once said that it takes 28 games to be able to make any kind of evaluation on a quarterback. Sanchez is almost there, Freeman is over half way there and hopefully Stafford will get there.

He never said that you weren't allowed to speculate. We have a thread about Unitis vs Manning and Marino and all the sample size in the world, this is a different kind of discussion.

Yes, itt we will speculate, but there's nothing really wrong with that, is there?

Bill Walsh also said that Trent Edwards was gonna be a great NFL QB

Well regardless, I think it's a good discussion. If you want to get caught up in semantics, then I'll title the thread "Who do you think will be the best QB" or "who would you take if starting a franchise". same deal.

How many rapes does each have?

I feel pretty confident that Stafford has zero considering the kind of tail he's been pictured with but I'm pretty sure I saw BOTH freeman and sanchez on america's most wanted last week

ROFLMAO Freeman a top 10 player if we did a re-draft.

I'm pretty sure JeffMaggert is keevin's new account because he was bored being a steeler troll, so he wanted to be a buc troll. huge lol @ freeman being number 8 in a redraft
11-07-2010 , 02:52 PM
I didn't say you would draft freeman top ten, i said i would

suprised you wouldn't take him #1 overall.
11-07-2010 , 03:41 PM
I'd also take Freeman top 10 in a redraft

Clay Matthews and Mario Williams bunch of others ahead of Schaub though
11-07-2010 , 04:22 PM

11-07-2010 , 04:53 PM
