Correct Answers

One would think with 10 entrants left and 5 potential correct answers, we'd see somebody make a huge move. But you would be wrong.

Our 10 correct answers are split up equally between our 2 SHEEP, who also happen to be #1 and #2 in aces.

#1 - 119 aces - 4 matches

This big server would have only needed 3 matches to be in the top 5, and in 4 matches will end up leading the tournament.
Spoiler:

Correct answer: John Isner
mw828
Nandos v2
lukethefluke
Lars1
pokergrader

#2 - 107 aces - 6 matches

A sad finish to the tournament for this player, but as a conciliation he will finish #2 in aces and be a correct answer for the other 5 of you

Unplayed Aces

Unplayed correct answer: Feliciano Lopez [3 matches, 73 aces]
Unplayed correct answer: Bernard Tomic [4 matches, 70 aces]
Unplayed correct answer: Gael Monfils [5 matches, 68 aces]

Not much movement on the leaderboard as our top 3 players were all equally correct. Our leader from last year, kingweed, falls 5 points off the lead.

Incorrect score = 7 = 2 distinct corrects + 5 for John Isner

#21 - 12 aces - 2 matches

Four of you, including one of our leaders, picked this big serving German player. Perhaps with a few more matches she could have gotten into the top 5, but her 2nd round exit was just too soon...

Incorrect answer: Sabine Lisicki

#11 - 16 aces - 4 matches

Myself and 2 others went with this player, who frankly after 4 matches could have had a chance to get into the top 5. But though many aspects of her game were on point, she just wasn't firing that many aces this tournament, and her 4th round injury sealed the deal.

Correct Answers

If you are keeping track at home, one of our co-leaders and our 2nd place player got this correct. Let's see if either of them make a move.

#2 - 46 aces - 6 matches

One of them picked our SHEEP, who along with 4 others, took the #1 player in the tournament who has the best women's serve of all time.

And we close with a big move, and 2 aces...

#1 - 55 aces - 5 matches

The first of which is the #1 player in aces, but yet was only picked by one entrant. Though this entrant is in the middle in overall points, he is tied for first in aces with his 3rd one.

Very tilting round. Cilic would have made it if he got past a Bautista Agut who came off two five setters. Keys as well without the injury, but that might have been bad research since she was clearly holding back on serve from the start and probably came into the tournament injured.

I'm going to focus on our top 3 players, because (spoiler alert), the rest of you don't have a chance. I'm going to mix correct and incorrect answers.

First, let's see who our entrant in 3rd place, krunic, picked along with one other player:

Me too.

Went for some obscure answers in the hope of binking an ace. Probably cost me rather than just going for a 'banker' like Isner for the serve.

Ah well, worked last year
