21> 20. I think it’s clear that nadal > Federer just based on H2H. Will be honest here though. Think djokovic is a threat to nadal. Would be nice to see nadal win the French to get a 2 slam lead on djokovic. Would still say it’s likely that djokovic gets the slam count if he just gets the vaccine and continues high level of play. Think djokovic hasn’t tailed off like Nadal and Federer at the end of their careers. Feel djokovic has a few more years of slam winning potential if he stays healthy. This coming from someone that hates djokovic.

Btw if djokovic played this event- and it went nadal v djokovic in final: that would have been much better for the goat convo. Djokovic clearly would be favorite if he was in this event.

Nadal is injured often. Djokovic, has a more economical game and hasn’t been out long stretches. Just from my eye test also, djokovic is probably the best player in the world right now but that is prolly due to change soon as younger players get better and he gets older (obviously).

Basically I’m saying I think nadal is closer to the end than djokovic. I could see djokovic playing at a higher level for longer in comparison to nadal bc nadal played such a taxing style so long.

Think nadal is in the drivers seat if he wins French open this year. Even just tieing it wouldn’t be a guarantee for djokovic. Thing the grand slam count is clear indicator of who the goat is somewhat. (Even though djokovic has better h2h against nadal and fed).

Big nadal fan here and hope to see him end up as the goat. That 5 set loss to fed a few years back in the Aussie open final was huge. Really wish he had more space between himself and djokovic. I don’t want to see djokovic end up with slam lead.
