unlike the vast majority of women's players she does have elite levels of WIM and is fun to watch with her shotmaking and willingness to go for broke. i thought maybe she was just on a unreal heater that weekend but i think she is legit now. beats watching the wozniackis of the world play the most boring tennis ever on their way to number one status anyway

I don't think I've ever rooted more for anyone in a tennis match then I'll be for Andreescu tomorrow. I can't stand Serena and all her aggressive antics in the past when she's losing. She'll have all her celebrity friends at the match tomorrow and the crowd will be 95 percent for her so I can only hope.

I actually bet Serena to win after the Sharapova match. But I put a wager on Andreescu a few days later so I'll win either way. I was so worried Andreescu was going to lose last night so I'd have to root for Serena tomorrow.

Interesting Medvedev betting story. The day after he beat Djokovic in Cincinnati the books drop his Open odds from around +3500 to +1300. I did find a book...Skybook...who still had him at +7000. That's incredible. I tried to deposit $50 on my credit card to win $3750 but it declined. That can happen with out of the country gambling transactions. In the 30 minutes I found another way to deposit Skybook had corrected his odds. If he wins tomorrow I'll be so frustrated. And I think he has a real shot.
