i can't possibly be the only one who just wants to see him retire. to see him keep playing is just like watching a 15 car pileup in slow motion, especially on a heat team getting worse and worse. while i thought him retiring because of this injury would be a terrible way to go, hearing the announcement retirement gave me a calming sense of finality. then they said those reports weren't true...

used to like the guy, but hate him now after what he did to the raptors. so glad that the heat don't have a chance to win the championship this year, would hate to see a bum like him have another ring.

maybe not, but i certainly wouldn't have wanted to make an ass out of myself in front of the whole world. i think these guys are way too pampared nowadays, and too many of them forget that playing a sport for a living is a privelage first and foremost. suck it up and stop crying. if you really don't want to play on a losing team, get traded. don't make a struggling ball club lose $9M by buying out your contract. frankly, news of his retirement brings a certain joy in my life, because the league now has one less crybaby. now i'm just waiting for a career-ending injury to vince carter and all will be good. party at my house once he retires.
