kind of rooting for the chargers hard now to win when they don't have the number one offense and defense in the league

embrace the variance

I think they remind me of the colts in that they both are capable of beating any team in teh league but also losing to any team in the league

didn't root for them in this game though. feel bad for the bungles fans. state of ohio is ****ed obv

When did I miss Geno Atkins getting hurt? I was expecting him to be out there today. Also, can he play right guard?

Atkins tore his ACL in the first month of the season.

The camera shot of him on the sideline actually looked like he was pissed off Rivers didn't snap it, so I'm willing to give him a pass on that one. The full conservatard by Whisenhunt is needed to protect monster season Rivers from high pressure situations. He's at his best when they are a run heavy team, and that goes back to the Tomlinson days. It's more forgivable that they went 3 and out on their last 2 possessions running it 6 times when that was their gameplan and it was successful before that. Factor in weather conditions and taking out the clock increased value.

I wouldn't lol Dalton too much when overall the Bengals didn't show much, and conditions weren't scintillating for chucking the ball around. Chargers defense was excellent today give them some credit. Their front seven on D is top 5 in the league imo, you cannot run the ball on them, your only chance is through the air.

JJ and melvin ingram the outside linebackers...pretty big dudes. jj had the hamstring early and hand surgery, but he is back and ready to roll, ingram had that pick and a hard hit and he is a talent, he wont be 100% til next season imo but with him out there on the other side...then u put butler with big arms who makes plays and is pretty damn good, with teo who does bring energy and now with a year under his belt...the big guys up front, the DL, are solid, maybe slightly below average, but playing well as a unit. decent against the run and they get a good push.

but yeah with everybody healthy and on the same page, its a good front 7. so good front 7, average db (weddle good, rest are i dunno they grow on u), very good qb, good o-line, good backs, good receivers, good kicking game, good coaching...thats 10 wins and 7 losses...a good team that is playing loose and peaking. not an easy out, but not something a legit stud team shouldnt be able to handle. but thats why they play the game. manning has a rag arm or some opportune turnovers or rivers has a big game...

He's the worst Pats poster on here by far.

That guy who responded to me said he tore his ACL in the first month. I could have sworn I saw Atkins play after that this season, so I went to his page to see he's played 9 games. If he tore it in the first month, and he's played 9 games this year, then that would have meant he came back from the ACL. Yet he wasn't playing yesterday, so I was just wondering if he'd gotten re-injured or something.

Turns out, Palo may have been wrong, is all. But thanks for your brilliant, nice post TeeJay or TJ.

Well given that their defense was anywhere from below average to historically awful throughout the year, and given that Weddle is an elite safety, the rest of their secondary would have to be literal grade schoolers for your statement to be accurate

Maybe if you had some HDTV you would have seen the Geno injury. He is only the second best defensive player and the NFL and hasn't played in 3 months. This is almost as dumb as your #1 WR argument. You sir are clearly the mouthbreathing idiot and I promise you 95% of this forum would agree with me.

Wow, TV smack, that's fresh.

I didn't play FF this year so I'm not really actively keeping track of team defenses. The Bengals also weren't exactly a primetime team this year so I didn't see them a lot. And the team I watch most didn't play them. But yeah, if I owned an HDTV I would have known. Sweet logic.

My #1 WR argument... refresh me... is that where I said there are, by definition, 32 #1 WRs in the NFL? Yeah, super dumb argument there. Dare I take the literal definition of the phrase "number one" and apply it correctly! I think what most people were arguing about there would be a "franchise #1", which is obviously different. There are 32 "#1 QBs" in the world, theoretically, but only like ~10ish "franchise QBs" at any given time. I think that's the equivalent of what they were arguing, which I agree with. I never said there were 32 WRs in the league that you "build around" or whatever. That's just something morons like you projected. What I said was not close to being inaccurate.
