this is something that looks way easier than it really is. I mean, these are world class athletes and it seems like they only have around a 50/50 rate of downing them vs blundering it for a touchback

Oh yeah, he (edit: Kareem Jackson) got torched dozens of times last year as a rookie. He was a little better this year, but still makes rookie mistakes. Kid has first round physical talent, just a long learning curve I guess.
