The rules guys explanation that intention doesn’t matter and it’s where the ball lands is idiotic. So if a receiver running a go route falls down 20 yds short of where the ball lands it’s intentional grounding? If I qb gets hit as he throws and it lands 10 yds short of receiver it’s intentional grounding? Come on man

I think a simple rule of thumb should be

If the ball isn't being thrown into the ground. It's not intentional grounding.
